On Wednesday, Her Excellency the Governor continued her official Vice-Regal visit to Vietnam to promote South Australia.
In Hanoi, the Governor attended a breakfast meeting hosted by the Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam, His Excellency Mr Andrew Goledzinowski; followed by an in-market briefing on Australia-Vietnam relations.
Then, the Governor delivered a speech at the Vietnam-Australia Centre where she met with the Vice President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Associate Professor Dr Duong Trung Y.
Afterwards, the Governor called on the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Excellency Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
In the late morning, the Governor met with the Vice Minister of Science and Technology, Mr Bui The Duy, to explore opportunities for closer economic engagement in science, technology and innovation.
Afterwards, the Governor attended a StudyAdelaide lunch to acknowledge education agents’ commitment to their students, to international education and to South Australia during the pandemic.
In the afternoon, the Governor attended Hanoi Adelaide School to promote South Australia as a study destination among students currently studying SACE.
Afterwards the Governor met with the Hoa Phat Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Nguyen Viet Thang, to promote investment opportunities in South Australia.
In the evening, the Governor attended a business dinner focused on promoting South Australia’s renewable and clean energy sector, hosted by the Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam, His Excellency Mr Andrew Goledzinowski.
