The Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia, has announced the appointment of Grant Stevens APM as Governor-Designate of South Australia.

Mr Stevens will succeed Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, whose term as Governor concluded on 6 October 2026.

He will be sworn in as Governor on 9 December 2026.

Until the Governor-Designate takes office, the constitutional and official functions of the Governor are exercised by the Administrator of the State.
