On Wednesday morning, at the Adelaide Festival Centre, Her Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Australian Migrant Resource Centre, officially launched the 2024 International Women’s Day Forum: ‘Migrant and Refugee Women Voices for Economic Empowerment’.
Afterwards, at the Adelaide College of the Arts, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a performance by the Dusty Feet Mob, part of the Adelaide Fringe.
In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten received Her Excellency Ms Beate Grzeski, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Australia and Dr Markus Ederer; and Mr Matthew Williams, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Adelaide.
Later, at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor presented awards at the International Women’s Day SA’s High Tea event.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor, as patron of the Zahra Foundation Australia, and Mr Bunten, hosted a reception to thank staff, volunteers and supporters of the Zahra Foundation.
In the evening, at Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a performance of ‘The Threepenny Opera’, part of the Adelaide Festival.
During the day, members of the ACH Group’s Social Links Program toured Government House.
