On Wednesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Andrew Kay, Chief Executive Officer, Business SA.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor received the Honourable Terry Stephens MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

Later, at Government House, the Governor, as patron of The Company of Master Mariners of Australia Ltd – South Australia Branch, received Captain Robert Westley, Master Captain, and Captain Ian Dickson, Acting Branch Secretary, The Company of Master Mariners of Australia – South Australia Branch.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor, as patron of the Australia Day Council of South Australia, and Mr Bunten, hosted a luncheon for 2023 Australia Day Award winners. Guests in attendance were Ms Jan Chorley, Chief Executive Officer, Australia Day Council of South Australia, Mr Peter Tsokas, Chairperson, Australia Day Council of South Australia; Mrs Stella Braund, South Australia’s Citizen of the Year 2023; Ms Julie-Anne Whitehead, South Australia’s Community Event of the Year 2023; Ms Evette Wolf, South Australia’s Award for Active Citizenship 2023; Mr Thomas Pearson and Mr Coen Pearson, Award for Leadership in Languages and Cultures 2023 – Dual Recipients Category 1.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a dinner for The Right Reverend Chris McLeod, Dean of St Peter’s Cathedral, and Mrs Susan McLeod.
