On Wednesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor hosted a meeting of the Australia-India Joint Ministerial Commission. The Australian delegation was led by Senator the Honourable Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Investment. The Indian delegation was led by The Honourable Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and included His Excellency Mr Gopal Baglay, High Commissioner of India to Australia.

During the morning, The Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia, called at Government House and met with Minister Goyal.

Afterwards, the Governor hosted a luncheon for delegates to the Australia‑India Joint Ministerial Commission. Other guests included the Honourable Joe Szakacs MP, Minister for Trade and Investment, and Senator the Honourable Simon Birmingham, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs

Also in the morning, the Governor received Mr Alastair MacGibbon, Chief Strategy Officer, CyberCX.

Later, the Governor spoke by telephone with Dr Richard Harris SC, OAM, Lieutenant-Governor of South Australia.

During the day, members of the Enhanced Lifestyles Group and students from Seaford Secondary College toured Government House.
