On Wednesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor, who is patron of the General Sir John Monash Foundation, spoke by telephone to Mr Paul Ramadge, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation.

Later, the Governor received Mrs Ivanka Jovanovich.

Afterwards, the Governor received Mr Gary Cowan, Chief Executive Officer, National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, followed by a luncheon. Guests were Mr Cowan; Mr Douglas Gautier AM, Chief Executive and Artistic Director, Adelaide Festival Centre; Ms Becc Bates PSM, Director, Creative Industries, Department of the Premier and Cabinet; Mr Geoff Strempel, Director, State Library of South Australia; Dr David Gamister, Director, South Australian Museum; Professor Anna Goldsworthy, Director, Elder Conservatorium of Music; Ms Penny Camens, General Manager, Patch Theatre; Mr Joe Hay, General Manager, Adelaide City of Music; Mr Daniel Riley, Artistic Director, Australian Dance Theatre; Mr Mark Taylor, Executive Director, State Opera of South Australia; Ms Rebecca Pearce, Executive Director, Slingsby; Ms Karina Bryce, Associate Producer, Windmill Theatre Company; Mr Mat Kesting, Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director, Adelaide Film Festival; and Ms Liz Abbott, Assistant Director, National Foundation for Australia-China Relations.

Later, the Governor spoke by telephone to Dr Wendy Craik AM, the 2024 Frances Adamson Oration speaker.

Afterwards, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.


Later, the Governor, who is patron of the Helpmann Academy, and Mr Bunten, hosted a reception to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Helpmann Academy.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Bunten received Mr Raymond Spencer AM, and Mrs Tina Spencer, followed by a dinner.
