On Wednesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Terry Stephens MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited University Senior College where they addressed staff and students, and took questions from Year 10, 11, and 12 students.

Later, the Governor received Auxiliary Judge Peter Norman OAM, National Chairman of the Australian Crime Prevention Council; and His Honour Judge Rauf Soulio AM, and Professor Don Robertson, members of the Council Executive.

In the afternoon, in the grounds of Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten participated in a backyard cricket match to celebrate the 140th Anniversary of See D!fferently with the Royal Society for the Blind, of which the Governor is patron.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor received Ms Susan Lonie, Acting Mayor; Ms Pamela Jackson, Acting Chief Executive; and Ms Marnie Lock, General Manager, City of Holdfast Bay; and Kaurna Elders Mr Jeffrey Newchurch, Ms Lynette Crocker, Mr Frank Wanganeen, and Ms Merle Simpson.

Later, at The Nest Espresso Bar + Kitchen, Thebarton, Mr Bunten attended the official opening of Uncle Kauwanu Tamaru’s Art for Gowrie South Australia Reconciliation Act Plan.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor hosted a reception for Occupational Therapy Australia to mark the 80th anniversary of the first occupational therapy club in Australia.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Bunten received Mr Roger Drake AM, Managing Director, Drake Supermarkets, and Mrs Wendy Drake, followed by a dinner.


During the day, students from Mitcham Primary School toured Government House.
