On Wednesday morning, Her Excellency the Governor participated in the Corporate Cup.

Afterwards, in Murray Bridge, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited St Joseph’s School Murray Bridge, where they were briefed on the school and engaged with students.

Later at the Murray Bridge Local Government Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Mr Wayne Thorley, Mayor; Ms Heather Barclay, Chief Executive Officer; Ms Deb Richardson, General Manager Community Development; and Ms Thuyen Vi-Alternetti, General Manager Infrastructure & Environment.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten joined Mayor Thorley, Ms Barclay, and members of the Rural City of Murray Bridge Executive Management Team on the Council’s ‘Growth and Freight Bypass Tour’, visiting the Pallamana Precinct, including Thomas Foods International; the Aspirational Freight Route, including the entrance of Monarto Safari Park; Monarto South Precinct; and Gifford Hill, including access to the Freeway and Murray Bridge Racing Club.

Later, at the Local Government Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a lunch with Council representatives and Uncle Lawrie Rankine, Chair, and Aunty Margi Sumner, Chief Executive Officer, Ngarrindjeri Ruwe Empowered Communities, and was briefed on the Sturt Reserve Cultural Play Precinct.

In the afternoon, at the Moorundi Health Service, Murray Bridge, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Ms Tahlia Lloyd, Chair; and Uncle Steve Sumner, Chief Executive Officer, Moorundi Aboriginal Health Service, and toured the facility.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor hosted a reception for supporters of Backpacks 4 SA Kids.
