On Wednesday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted investiture ceremonies for Australian Honours and Royal Humane Society of Australasia Bravery Awards.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a luncheon for official guests of the investiture ceremony. Attendees included Dr James Muecke AM, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia; Commander Emma McDonald-Kerr ADC RAN, Commanding Officer, HMAS Encounter, and Mr Cameron Wood; Brigadier Graham Goodwin CSC, Army Area Representative - South Australia, Australian Army - HQ 9th Brigade, and Mrs Jenny Goodwin; Air Commodore Adrian Maso AM, Senior Australian Defence Force Officer – Edinburgh, Royal Australian Air Force – Edinburgh, and Mrs Kylie Maso; Commissioner Grant Stevens APM, Commissioner of Police, South Australia Police, and Mrs Emma Stevens; Professor John Maynard, President, The Royal Humane Society of Australasia Inc; Mr Tony Metcalf OAM, State Chairman, The Order of Australia Association (SA Branch), and Mrs Cheryl Metcalf; and Mr Rik Morris, South Australia Representative for the Council for the Order of Australia.

Later, at Ashton, the Governor, as patron of Archery SA, officially opened the World Archery Oceania Championship.

In the evening, at the Burnside Ballroom, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the guests at the South Australia 2023 Police Iftar Dinner.
