On Tuesday morning, in Bangkok, Her Excellency the Governor met with Ambassador Busaya Mathelin, former Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.
Afterwards, at the Australian Embassy, the Governor participated in a grains sector roundtable with representatives of United Flour Mills, Thai Nisshin Flour Milling, Laemthong Corporation, King Huat/Saratthani, Kerry-Glory Flour Mill, Siam Flour Trading, Thai Flour Industry, Thai Sugar Flour, Bangkok Flour Mill, King Milling, and President Food Pub Co Ltd.
Later, at the Ambassador’s Residence, the Governor attended a business lunch hosted by the Australian Ambassador to Thailand Her Excellency Dr Angela Macdonald PSM. Guests were Her Excellency Ms Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Minster of Foreign Affairs; Mr Anucha Burapachaisri, MP; Mr Brenton Mauriello AM, Chief Executive, Raimon Land PCL, Treasurer AustCham-ASEAN; Mr John Hancock AM, Founding Principal Baker McKenzie, Thailand; Mr Frank Holzer, General Manager, King Living Thailand; Mr Kamolnai Chaixanien, Senior Executive Vice President, TCC Assets; and Ms Nikki Lohitnavy, Oenologist and Winemaker.
Afterwards, at the Ministry of Culture, the Governor met with Vice Minister for Culture, Dr Laliwan Karnchanachari.
In the afternoon, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Governor met with Mr Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs.
In the evening, the Governor, who is patron of StudyAdelaide, addressed guests at an Alumni and International Education Agent and Partners reception, facilitated by StudyAdelaide.
