On Tuesday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received members of the Legislative Council for the presentation of the President of the Legislative Council.

In the afternoon the Governor received members of the House of Assembly for the presentation of the Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Later at Parliament House, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed and opened the first session of the 55th Parliament of South Australia. Afterwards at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for the service and other personnel who supported Her Excellency in the event.
