On Tuesday, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and Mr Bunten continued their official visit to Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY Lands), where, in the morning, they visited Pipalyatjara Aṉangu School, met with staff and students, and participated in Pitjantjatjara lessons with Junior Primary and Middle Primary students.
Afterwards, at the Kalka/Pipalyatjara TAFE SA Training Centre, the Administrator and Mr Bunten hosted a morning tea for Tafe SA and Regional Aṉangu Services Aboriginal Corporation staff.
Later, at the Pipalyatjara General Store, the Administrator and Mr Bunten met with Ms Raelene Wallace, Regional Manager, Mai Wiru Regional Stores.
In the afternoon, at the Nganampa Health Clinic – Pipalyatjara, the Administrator and Mr Bunten met with Ms Sue Haines, Manager, Nganampa Health, where they toured the facility and were briefed on operations.
Afterwards, at Ninuku Arts, the Administrator and Mr Bunten met with Ms Georgie Gengos, Art Centre Manager, Ninuku Arts, and engaged with local artists, before departing for Murputja.
In the evening, at the Murputja Aṉangu School, the Administrator and Mr Bunten attended a barbeque hosted by the school, with Murputja-based staff from the Department of Education and SA Police.
Also in the evening, at Government House, Dr Richard Harris SC OAM, Lieutenant Governor, hosted a reception to present the 2024 Gladys Elphick Awards.
