On Tuesday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted investiture ceremonies for Australian Honours.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a luncheon for official guests of the investiture ceremony. Attendees were Dr Richard Harris SC OAM, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia, and Mrs Fiona Harris; Commander Tony Ryder ADC RAN, Commanding Officer, HMAS Encounter; Brigadier Timothy Orders, Commander – 9th Brigade and Army Area Representative – South Australia; Group Captain Martin Nussio AM, Representing the Senior Australian Defence Force Officer – Edinburgh Precinct, Royal Australian Air Force, and Mrs Amy Nussio; Commissioner Grant Stevens APM, Commissioner of Police, South Australia Police, and Mrs Emma Stevens; and Mr Joel Hender OAM BEM, representing the State Chair, The Order of Australia Association (SA Branch), and Mrs Jill Hender.

Later, the Governor spoke by telephone to Her Excellency the Honourable Maragaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor, who is patron of The Royal Humane Society of Australasia, received Lieutenant Colonel David Arden RFD, President, and Ms Shelley Schade, Secretary, Royal Humane Society of Australasia; and Assistant Commissioner Tim Hansen, Victoria Police.

In the afternoon, at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation Bloom Research Program celebration to recognise the 2024 Program Awardees.
