On Tuesday morning, Her Excellency the Governor continued her official visit to the Southern Mallee and Karoonda East Murray Councils at Karoonda Area School, where she was welcomed by Mrs Melanie Bennett, Principal, and Mr Adrian Roberts, Governing Council Chairperson, followed by a tour of the school and conversation with the students.

Afterwards, the Governor met Ms Caroline Phillips, Mayor; Mr Russell Norman, Deputy Mayor; and Mr Scott Reardon, Chief Executive Officer, District Council of Karoonda East Murray, followed by a morning tea with council staff.

Later, the Governor, accompanied by Ms Phillips and Mr Reardon, toured the Karoonda Township including the Town Oval Gym and Recreational Shed, Ponderosa Estate, Karoonda Playground, and Karoonda Silos.

In the late morning, the Governor visited Mallee Kids Child Care for a tour and conversation with the educators, followed by a visit to the Pioneer Park where she was conducted on a tour by Ms Elizabeth Kerr, a volunteer, before returning to Government House in the afternoon.

In the evening at Lot Fourteen, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, officially opened the new headquarters of MyVenue.
