On Tuesday morning, in Adelaide Her Excellency the Governor partipated in the JusticeNet SA’s Walk for Justice 2023.
Later, at Government House, the Governor was interviewed by Ms Genevieve Meegan, Features Editor, SALIFE Magazine.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor hosted a luncheon for the Diversity Council Australia. Guests in attendance were Ms Ming Long AM, Chair, Diversity Council Australia Board; Commissioner Grant Stevens APM, Commissioner of Police, South Australia Police; Ms Cathy Brown, Director, Diversity Council Australia; Mr Richard Spurio, Managing Partner, Allens; Mrs Nicole Chaplin, Chief Executive Officer, St John's Youth Services; Dr Claire Ralfs, Chief Executive Officer, Relationships Australia SA; Mr Mark Hoffman-Davis, Chief Executive Officer, SYC Ltd; Mr Nick Reade, Chief Executive Officer, RAA; Ms Melanie Squire, Head of Sustainability, BAE Systems; Ms Kylie Johnson, General Manager - People, Safety and Governance, SA Water; and Ms Taryn Shearn, Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary, Hertiage and People's Choice Ltd.
In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten, as joint patrons of the Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, hosted an afternoon tea to thank the volunteer tour guides from the Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide for assisting with the open garden tours at Government House.
Later, at Government House, the Governor, as patron of the Sammy D Foundation, accompanied by Mr Bunten, hosted a reception to thank volunteers of the Sammy D Foundation and presented the Volunteer Achievement Awards.
In the evening, at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor, as patron of the Australia Day Council of South Australia, accompanied by Mr Bunten, attended the ‘Uluru Statement from the Heart – A Deeper Understading’ event.
