On Tuesday morning in London, Her Excellency the Governor met with The Rt Hon Maria Eagle MP, UK Minister for Defence Procurement and Industry.
Afterwards, the Governor addressed delegates and took part in roundtable discussion at the Australia British Defence Catalyst 2024, hosted by the Australian British Chamber of Commerce.
Later, the Governor attended a luncheon hosted by Mr John Hood, Chancellor of Flinders University.
In the afternoon, the Governor met with Sir Nick Hine KCB, Managing Director AUKUS and International, and Mr Brendan Staniforth, Business Planning Director, Devenport Royal Dockyard, Babcock International.
Afterwards, at the Office of the Agent General of South Australia, the Governor unveiled a maquette of the statue of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Robert Hannaford AM which stands in the grounds of Government House Adelaide.
Later, the Governor attended a reception for Australia British Defence Catalyst 2024 delegates, hosted by His Excellency the Honourable Stephen Smith, High Commissioner.
During the day, in Adelaide, Mr Bunten undertook voluntary work at Meals on Wheels.
In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency Dr Richard Harris SC OAM, as Governor’s Deputy, and Mrs Fiona Harris, hosted a reception for the members of the 29th Youth Parliament.
