On Tuesday, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a visit to RAAF Base Edinburgh hosted by Air Commodore Adrian Maso AM, Commander, Air Warfare Centre, and Wing Commander Craig Keene CSC, Commanding Officer No 24 (City of Adelaide) Squadron and Senior Australian Defence Force Officer, Edinburgh Defence Precinct.

During the visit, the Governor and Mr Bunten toured the Keeping Place and laid a wreath at the Indigenous War Memorial; and the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed personnel at a Women’s Integrated Networking Groups (WINGS) Session; announced the winner of the inaugural Squadron Leader David Shannon DSO and Bar, DFC and Bar, Air Warfare Centre Warfighter of the Year award; and met and was briefed on the Military Working Dogs.
