On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, in North Adelaide, the Governor and Mr Bunten toured Ronald McDonald House, where they were briefed on operations and engaged with staff and volunteers.

In the afternoon, at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the ‘Reuniting Cargoes’ exhibition, part of the OzAsia Festival.

Later, at Government House, the Governor, as patron of Debating SA, hosted a reception to present Debating SA 2024 Awards.

In the evening, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the guests at the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation of SA Inc Annual Awards Event, and together presented the CRF Research Merit Award, the Frankham-Earl Award, and the CRF Excellence in Research Award. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the Children’s Research Foundation.

Afterwards, at the Capri Cinema, as part of the Adelaide Film Festival, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the World Premiere of ‘Songs Inside’ followed by a performance by the Songbirds Ensemble.

The grounds of Government House will be open to the public today as part of the “Lunch on the Lawns” program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and music provided by the Band of the SA Police.
