On Thursday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Ian McConville, Chief of Protocol, and Ms Louise Murray, Assistant Director, Protection, Privileges and Immunities Section, Protocol Branch, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, followed by a breakfast.

Afterwards, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon in Adelaide, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, visited Tika Tirka Student Accommodation, toured the premises and addressed staff and residents organised by Aboriginal Community Housing.

Afterwards at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten as joint patrons of the Childhood Cancer Association, received Mr Chris Hartley, President, and Ms Cath O’Loughlin, Chief Executive.

Later the Governor received Mr David Osborn, General Manager, Technical and Safety, Australian Radioactive Waste Agency, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a dinner in honour of Flight Lieutenant Stuart McLean, who served as an Honorary Aide-de-Camp to multiple Governors for 12 of the past 20 years. Guests included Mrs Deb McLean, The Honourable Hieu Van Le AC and Mrs Lan Le, and The Honourable Marjorie Jackson-Nelson AC CVO MBE.
