On Thursday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten received Mr Adriano Stendardo, Consul of Italy in South Australia, and Mrs Clizia Restivo.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten departed for a Vice Regal visit to Whyalla, where in the evening at the Whyalla Civic Centre, they met with Ms Clare McLaughlin, Mayor; and Mr Justin Commons, Chief Executive Officer, The Corporation of the City of Whyalla; and Mr Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Mr Theuns Victor, Executive Director, Industrial Planning; and Mr Chris Smyth, Group Manager, Environment and Community, GFG Alliance.

Later at the Westland Hotel Whyalla, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, delivered the keynote address and announced the award winner at the BiS Whyalla Business Woman of the Year Awards Dinner hosted by Enterprising Women Whyalla.

Her Excellency the Governor appointed Dr James Muecke AM to be Governor's Deputy from 4:15 pm on Thursday 3 March until 8:00 am on Friday 4 March 2022.
