On Thursday morning Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, at Ridleyton, the Governor officially opened the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (SA Branch) Annual Professional Conference.

Afterwards, Her Excellency and Mr Bunten visited the Centre of Democracy, a joint initiative of the History Trust of South Australia and the State Library of South Australia.

In the afternoon, at Kildare College, Holden Hill, the Governor addressed the students and presented awards at an Academic Assembly.

Later in the afternoon, at St Mark's College, North Adelaide, Mr Bunten addressed the Oxford Society of South Australia as guest speaker.
