On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor departed Adelaide for an official visit to Point Pearce where she met with Mr Eddie Newchurch, Chairperson, and Mr Paul Rusk, General Manager, Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation.

Afterwards the Governor met with staff and students of Point Pearce Aboriginal School where she undertook a tour.

Later the Governor met with Mr Ian Baker, Ranger Supervisor and Coordinator, Indigenous Protected Area Rangers Program, and was briefed about the program.

Her Excellency then met with Board Members from Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation, Narungga Nation Aboriginal Corporation, along with Board Members and Senior Members of the Aboriginal Lands Trust and Yorke Peninsula Council.

In the afternoon the Governor addressed the gathering at the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation and Narungga Nation Aboriginal Corporation, before returning to Adelaide.
