On Thursday Her Excellency the Governor continued her Vice-Regal visit to Vietnam and Singapore to promote South Australia.
In the morning in Hanoi, the Governor attended an Education Breakfast: Alumni Roundtable to demonstrate South Australia’s longstanding relationship with Vietnam through the Australia Awards program and successful alumni in Hanoi.
Afterwards the Governor met with Mr Dang Hoang An, Vice Minister for Education and Training, Mr David Gottlieb, Economic Counsellor and Mr Duc Le, Policy Analyst and Program Manager to position South Australia as a top international study destination.
In the evening the Governor attended a business dinner focused on promoting South Australia’s renewable and clean energy sector, hosted by the Australian Deputy High Commissioner to Singapore, Ms Angela Robinson, before departing for Adelaide.
Her Excellency the Governor has appointed the Honourable Justice Mark Livesey to be Governor’s Deputy from 12:00 am Thursday, 10 November 2022 until 9:30 am on Friday, 11 November 2022.
On Thursday morning at Government House, Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor’s Deputy presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor’s Deputy, accompanied by Mrs Catherine Livesey, on behalf of Her Excellency the Governor, who is patron of the Australia Day Council of South Australia, addressed the guests and presented awards at the Australian of the Year Awards Presentation evening for South Australia.
Also in the evening at Government House, Mr Bunten hosted a reception for the 2023 South Australia Australian of the Year Award nominees.
Later at the Adelaide Oval, Mr Bunten attended the ICC Men's T20 World Cup VIP Hospitality Function Semifinal: India vs England hosted by Cricket Australia.
