On Thursday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr David Reynolds, Chief Executive, and Ms Jane Burton, Acting Executive Director, Budget and Performance, Department of Treasury and Finance.

In the afternoon in the Torrens Parade Ground, the Governor and Ms Sophie Bunten, attended the Adelaide Writer’s Week event ‘The Education of Young Donald’.

Later at Government House, the Governor received Mrs Lesley Heycox, widow, and Mr Damian Heycox, son, of the late Mr William Roy Heycox OAM, who received an OAM in the 2022 Australia Day Honours for his service to the community through a range of organisations.

Mr Bunten received Mr Stephen Coombe, President, and Mr Lynton Nicholas, Immediate Past President, Metropolitan Male Choir of South Australia Inc.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted the annual Celebration of South Australia’s Cultural Diversity and Presentation of the Governor’s Multicultural Awards for 2021.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten, and Ms Sophie Bunten, attended the Adelaide Fringe event ’24 Hour Political Party People’. The Governor and Mr Bunten then attended ‘Ross Noble: On the Go’.
