On Sunday the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a visit to the Copper Coast to participate in the Sir Richard Williams RAAF Centenary Celebrations. In the morning they met Group Captain Pete Mitchell DSC OAM, representing the Senior Australian Defence Force Officer – Edinburgh and Ms Roslyn Talbot, Mayor of the Copper Coast Council, who both then accompanied the Governor and Mr Bunten during their visit.
Later the Governor and Mr Bunten viewed the Parade from the steps of the Moonta Town Hall, and afterwards at the Queen Square the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed guests, unveiled a statue of Sir Richard Williams and greeted the RAAF/Cadet formation.
In the afternoon at the Moonta Town Hall, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a function and viewed the Sir Richard Williams display.
Later in the afternoon at the Moonta Mines Uniting Church, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a service, before returning to Adelaide in the evening.
