On Monday afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Tokuro Furuya, Consul-General of Japan in Melbourne; Mr Adam Wynn, Honorary Consul-General of Japan in South Australia; and Ms Laura Hughes, Research Analyst, Consulate-General of Japan in Melbourne, followed by a luncheon.

In the evening, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor, as patron-in-chief of The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, University of South Australia, attended the Annual Hawke Lecture delivered by Senator the Honourable Penny Wong.

During the day, students from Concordia College toured Government House.
