On Monday morning Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten departed for a Vice Regal visit to the Barossa Valley, where at the Old Bake House Tavern, Williamstown, they met with Mr Bim Lange OAM, Mayor; Mr Martin McCarthy, Chief Executive Officer; Ms Amanda Porter, Director Community Services, and Ms Janine Harding, Executive Business Partner, The Barossa Council, followed by morning tea with Southern Barossa volunteers.

Afterwards at the Tanunda Recreation Park, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Kind Hearted Kitchen and the new Inclusive Playground under construction at Tanunda Oval, followed in the afternoon by a lunch with members of the Council at Harvest Kitchen, Vine Vale.

Later in the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Barossa Regional Gallery, Tanunda and met with staff and volunteers, followed by a tour of The Barossa Cellars at Vine Vale and afternoon tea, and a tour of the Barossa Village Aged Care at Nuriootpa, where they met with community members.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a dinner at Vintners Bar and Grill, Angaston.

Her Excellency the Governor has appointed Dr James Muecke AM to be Governor's Deputy from 9:00 am on Monday, 8 August 2022 until 4:00 pm on Tuesday, 9 August 2022.
