On Monday morning, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten departed Adelaide for an official visit to the Clare Valley, where, at the Manoora Centenary Park, they met Mr Allan Aughey OAM, His Worship the Mayor of the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council, and Ms Lauren Philp, Secretary, Manoora Centenary Park, toured the facilities, and had morning tea with Centenary Park Committee members.

Afterwards, at Mintaro, the Governor and Mr Bunten met Ms Sharon Morris, Manager, Martindale Hall, and toured the Hall.

In the afternoon, at Polish Hill, the Governor and Mr Bunten met Ms Ali Paulett, Owner/General Manager, Pauletts Wines, followed by a lunch hosted by Mayor Aughey. Guests were Mr Andrew Aitken, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Clare and Gilbert Valleys Councils; Mr John Mitchell and Mrs Pam Mitchell; and Mr Hamish Gosse.

Later, at Jaeschkes Hill River Estate, Polish Hill, the Governor and Mr Bunten met Mr Robert Jaeschke and Mrs Lyn Jaeschke of Hill River Wines, received a briefing on operations and viewed the tractor display.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten were received at the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council Chambers by a Guard of Honour from 411 Army Cadet Unit under the command of Capt. Kym Sheehan. The Governor and Mr Bunten then had afternoon tea with key community groups, including the Reconciliation Advisory Group.

In the evening, at the Sevenhill Hotel, Sevenhill, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted dinner for Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council representatives. Guests were Mayor Aughey, Mr Aitken, and Ms Dallis Von Wald, Director Corporate Services, Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council.
