On Monday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Rafael Grossi, Director General, and Mr Diego Candano, Senior Advisor, International Atomic Energy Agency; His Excellency Richard Sadleir, Australia’s Ambassador to Vienna; and Mr Ian Biggs, Ambassador for Arms Control and Counter Proliferation, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Canberra.
Later at Christie Downs, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Christies Beach High School and Southern Vocational College, where the Governor addressed staff and students and presented Student Voice memberships at an Assembly, followed by a tour of the Inclusive Education Centre.
Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a visit to the City of Marion, where they met with Mr Kris Hanna, Mayor, and Mr Tony Harrison APM, Chief Executive Officer, City of Marion, who then accompanied the Governor and Mr Bunten during their visit.
At the Cooinda Neighbourhood Centre, Sturt, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with members of the Persian and Polish Social Groups, and the Sewing Group, followed in the afternoon by a visit to the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, Bedford Park, where they met with Southern Cultural Immersion and Friends of Warriparinga.
Afterwards at the Tonsley Innovation Precinct, Clovelly Park, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a lunch with representatives from the Flinders New Venture Institute and various businesses operating from Tonsley.
Later at the Mitchell Park Sports and Community Club, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended an afternoon tea with Community Centre volunteers, and members of the Migrant Women's Group and Youth Collective Committee before returning to Government House.
