On Monday morning, Her Excellency the Governor departed for a Vice Regal visit to Kangaroo Island, where, on arrival in Kingscote, she met with Mr Michael Pengilly, Mayor, and Mrs Nicki Putland, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kangaroo Island Council, who then accompanied her throughout her visit.

Later in the morning the Governor toured The Oyster Farm Shop retail outlet and processing facility at American River, followed by a community morning tea hosted by the American River Progress Association at the American River Hall.

In the afternoon at The Cliffs Golf Course, the Governor were briefed on the Fox Gordon site and project, followed by a tour of Clifford's Honey Farm and Emu Ridge Eucalyptus, where she was briefed on the facilities.

In the evening the Governor toured Reeves Point, followed by a dinner hosted by Mr Michael and Mrs Jan Pengilly.

Her Excellency the Governor has appointed Dr James Muecke AM to be Governor’s Deputy from 8:45 am on Monday 4 April until 5:00 pm on Wednesday 6 April 2022.
