On Monday morning at Southern Cross Care, North Plympton, Her Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, conducted a special investiture and presented the insignia for awards in the Order of Australia to Mr Derek Butcher OAM and Mrs Margaret Butcher OAM.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten received members of a visiting German HySupply delegation, followed by a luncheon. Guests included His Excellency Dr Thomas Fitschen, Ambassador of Germany to Australia; Mr Philip Green OAM, Australian Ambassador to Germany; Dr Stefan Kaufmann, Delegation Lead, Innovation Commissioner for Green Hydrogen, Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Government of the Federal Republic of Germany; Mr David Reynolds, Chief Executive, Department for Trade and Investment; Dr Paul Heithersay PSM, Chief Executive, Department for Energy and Mining; Dr Bettina Hübschen, Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe; Dr Stefan Gossens, Schaeffler Group; Professor Christopher Hebling, Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems; Dr Kerstin Zimmermann, Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Government of the Federal Republic of Germany; and Mr Holger Lösch, Deputy Director-General, Federation of German Industries.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten, as joint patrons of the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation, hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2022 Breakthrough Mental Health Research Grants.
