On Monday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Ms Melinda Parent, Co-Vice President and Creative Director, and Dr Cassandra Zaina, Co-Vice President, Women in Innovation.

Afterwards, at Seaton, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Seaton High School, where they met with staff and student leaders, and took questions from the students.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a lunch for the 2024 South Australians of the Year. Guests were Mr Tim Jarvis AM, 2024 SA Australian of the Year; Sister Meredith Evans, 2024 SA Senior Australian of the Year; Ms Rachael Zaltron OAM, 2024 SA Local Hero; Ms Michelle Cox, Chairperson, Australia Day Council of South Australia; and Mrs Jan Chorley, Chief Executive Officer, Australia Day Council of South Australia. The Governor is Patron-in-Chief of the Australia Day Council of South Australia.

Later, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for the presentation of the Lions Children of Courage Awards. The Governor is an Honorary Member of the Lions Club of the City of Adelaide Incorporated, South Australia 201 C1.

During the day, students from Norwood Primary School toured Government House.
