On Monday morning, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten continued their official visit to Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY Lands), where in the morning, they departed Alice Springs for Pipalyatjara via Yulara.

In the afternoon, in Yulara, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Mr Richard King, General Manager – APY Lands Administration, and Mrs Tania King, Manager Stakeholder Engagement – APY Lands, followed by a lunch.

Her Excellency the Governor has been appointed Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia from 3:30pm on Monday, 26 August 2024 until 12:00am on Monday, 2 September 2024. The Honourable Chief Justice Chris Kourakis has been appointed Administrator of the State of South Australia during this period.

In the evening, in Pipalyatjara, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and Mr Bunten hosted a dinner for members of the community.

Also in the evening, at Government House, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the State of South Australia hosted a reception for the launch of the University of Adelaide’s ‘Advance Care Planning with Vulnerable Populations Report’.
