On Monday morning, Her Excellency the Governor departed for a visit to the Southern Flinders Ranges, where, at the Bundaleer Forest Reserve, she met Ms Sue Scarman, Mayor, and Mr Pete Ward, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Northern Areas Council; Mr Greg Boston, Chairperson, and members of the Bundaleer Forest Community Association, visited the Maple and Pine event space, and was briefed on operations.

Afterwards, at Jamestown Community School, the Governor met with Mrs Kelly Zwar, Principal, Mrs Jessican Hounsell, Deputy Principal, and student leaders, followed by a tour of the schools.

Later, at the Northern Area Council Chambers, the Governor attended a luncheon hosted by the Council. Guests included elected members, Jamestown Development Association members, service club representatives, business owners, and community members.

Afterwards, at Gladstone High School, the Governor met with Mrs Tyler Hogan, Principal, Gladstone High School and student leaders, followed by a tour of the school.

In the afternoon, at Gladstone, the Governor, accompanied by Ms Scarman and Mr Ward, met with members of the Gladstone Community Development and Tourism Association and was briefed on projects, followed by a walking tour of the Gladstone township, including the Peace Garden, the Subway Mural, and the Southern Flinders Discovery Centre.

Later, at Laura, the Governor met Mr Rick Willis, Operations Manager, Golden North, toured the Golden North Ice Cream Plant and Factory and was briefed on operations.

Afterwards, at the Laura Civic Centre, the Governor met with members of the Laura Community Development Association, and was briefed on operations.

In the evening, at the North Laura Hotel, the Governor attended a dinner with Northern Areas Council elected members, council staff, members from the Laura and Gladstone Community Development Association, Nukunu Wapma Thura Aboriginal Corporation representatives, and business owners.
