On Monday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor hosted a luncheon for His Excellency Dr George Vella, President of the Republic of Malta. Guests included The Honourable Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, Minister for Public Works and Planning, Government of Malta; His Excellency Mr Mario Farrugia Borg, High Commissioner of Malta to Australia; Ambassador Mr Olaph Terribile, Chief of Staff to the President; Mr Carmen Spiteri, Honorary-Consul for Malta in South Australia; Mr Edgar Agius OAM, President, Maltese Community Council of South Australia; Mr Christian Wickham, Chair, Maltese Aged Care Adelaide South Australia; Ms Antonia Abela, President, Maltese Guild of South Australia Inc; Mrs Rosette Spiteri Cachia, Secretary to the President; and Mr James Lindner, Winemaker/Proprietor, Langmeil Winery.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for participants in the 2024 National Youth Science Forum Year 12 Program.
