On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received His Excellency Mr Kim Wan-Joong, Ambassador, and Ms Hyunjung Jung, Counsellor, and Mr Seong Tae Cho, Researcher, from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
Afterwards, at Hahndorf, the Governor addressed the guests and took questions from the audience at the Women in Economics Network Mentoring Retreat.
In the morning, at Government House, Mr Bunten, as patron of The Rose Society of South Australia, hosted a morning tea for Mrs Wendy Trimper, Life Member, and Ms Celia Painter, Photographer, The Rose Society of South Australia.
Also in the morning, the grounds of Government House were opened to members of the public as part of the “Lunch on the Lawns” program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and music provided by the Marion City Band and the Pipes and Drums of the Caledonian Society.
In the afternoon, at Modbury, the Governor, who is patron of Meals on Wheels SA, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the guests and presented awards at the Meals on Wheels Awardee Day.
Later, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for the artists of ‘In Other Words’, held as part of the OzAsia Festival.
Afterwards, the Governor spoke by telephone to The Honourable Anne Levy AO.
In the evening, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor attended the 2023 South Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner, held by the Tourism Industry Council of South Australia.
