On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor hosted a reception for the presentation of medallions to fellows of The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust.

In the afternoon, the Governor hosted a luncheon for members of the Foreign Investment Review Board: Mr Bruce Miller AO (Chair), Mr Steven Skala AO, Ms Carolyn Kay, Dr Sarah Pearson, Ms Linda Apelt, Ms Kellie Benda, and Mr Chris Tinning. Also present was Ms Isobel Sloan, Assistant Secretary, Frameworks Branch, Foreign Investment Division, Department of the Treasury. Guests were The Honourable Tom Koutsantonis, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, and Energy and Mining; The Honourable Steven Mullighan, Treasurer and Minister for Defence and Space Industries; The Honourable Joe Szakacs, Minister for Trade and Investment; Mr Tim Whetstone, Shadow Minister for Trade, Industry and Investment; Mr Damien Walker, Chief Executive, Department of the Premier and Cabinet; Mr Adam Reid, Chief Executive, Department for Industry, Innovation and Science; Mr Sam Crafter PSM, Chief Executive, Office of Hydrogen Power SA; Ms Tammie Pribanic, Acting Under Treasurer, Department of Treasury and Finance; and Mr Chris Wood, Executive Director – Invest SA, Department of State Development.

Afterwards, at Adelaide Oval, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the Men’s One Day International Series cricket match between Australia and Pakistan.

In the evening, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, the Governor addressed the gathering at the South Australian Science Excellence and Innovation Awards.

Afterwards, at Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the State Opera of South Australia’s opening night performance of ‘Lucia di Lammermoor’, followed by the post-performance function. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the State Opera of South Australia.
