On Friday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor conducted a telephone meeting with Mr Stephen Lysaght, Consul-General of the United Kingdom in Melbourne (with responsibility for South Australia).

During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and to have Lunch on the Lawns, with music provided on this occasion by the Royal Australian Navy Band South Australia.

Her Excellency the Governor has appointed Dr James Muecke AM to be Governor's Deputy from 11:30 am on Friday 3 February 2022 until 8:30 pm on Sunday, 5 February 2023.
