On Friday morning, at East Adelaide School, Mr Bunten addressed the guests at the Children’s Week Association of South Australia’s 2024 Minister for Education Awards. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the Children’s Week Association of South Australia.

Afterwards, in the grounds of Government House, the Governor met students from Investigator College whose scarecrow, the winner of the Governor’s Choice Special Award at the 2024 Royal Adelaide Show, is on display in the Government House vegetable garden.

Later, at Government House, the Governor hosted a reception for the presentation of the SafeWork SA 2024 Augusta Zadow Awards.

In the evening, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the Adelaide 36ers vs Cairns Taipans pre-game function, followed by the game for the NBL Indigenous Round.

During the day, students from students from Thebarton Senior College toured Government House.
