On Friday Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten continued their official Vice-Regal visit to the United Kingdom and Japan to promote South Australia.

In the morning in London, the Governor and Mr Bunten, met with, individually, Mr Dan Raven, Founder, National Park City concept, and Mr Mark Cridge, Executive Director, National Park City Foundation; Mr Roger McKinlay, Challenge Director, Quantum Technologies, UK Research and Innovation; Mr Stephen Camporeale, Regional Director UK/Europe, Office of the Agent General; The Right Honourable Lord Goldsmith, Minister for Overseas Territories, Commonwealth, Energy, Climate and Environment; and Ms Sally Marshall, Director of Operation and Customer Experience, British and Irish Lions.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a business lunch hosted by Admiral Sir Philip Jones KCB ADC, Senior Military Advisor, BAE Systems.

Later the Governor and Mr Bunten, met with, individually, the former Prime Minister of Australia, The Honourable Julia Gillard AC, Chair, and Dr Aleida Mendes-Borges, Research Advocate, Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at King’s College London; and Mr Ken O’Flaherty, UK COP26 Regional Ambassador to the Asia-Pacific and South Asia.

Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a roundtable discussion to promote South Australia’s Quantum ecosystems.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a House of Lords Christmas Reception for the South Australia Club.

During the day in Adelaide, students from TAFE SA toured Government House.
