On Friday afternoon Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten returned to Adelaide on the conclusion of their Vice-Regal visit to the United Kingdom and Japan to promote South Australia.

Later the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, as joint patrons of StudyAdelaide, addressed the guests at a Christmas Garden Party for International students in the grounds of Government House.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a State Dinner to celebrate the VALO Adelaide 500, hosted by The Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia.

During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, followed by a lunch time concert on the lawns with music provided by the City of Adelaide Pipe Band and the Bumble Bee Brass band.
