On Friday morning at the Salisbury War Memorial, Her Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, placed a wreath at the Salisbury commemorative service and P-3 Orion Propeller dedication organised by The Returned and Services League of Australia – Salisbury Sub-Branch.
In the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a visit to the City of Salisbury, where at the Salisbury Community Hub, they met with Mrs Gillian Aldridge OAM, Mayor, and Mr John Harry, Chief Executive Officer, who accompanied the Governor and Mr Bunten during their visit.
Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten were briefed on local matters at a luncheon followed by a tour of the hub’s community spaces.
Later the Governor and Mr Bunten commenced a driving tour of Edinburgh Parks, followed by a visit to Salisbury Oval via Bridgestone Reserve where they viewed a children's sports carnival, the Athletics Centre and track; and afterwards received a briefing on the UniSA Mawson Lakes Campus at Technology Park, followed by a visit to the salt pan development area on Port Wakefield Road, before returning to Government House.
