On Friday morning, at The Events Centre, Morphettville Racecourse, Her Excellency the Governor officially opened the Local Government Professionals Australia – SA’s 2024 Women’s Network Conference ‘The Power of Belonging’.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor received Ms Lynette Wood, Australian Ambassador-Designate to France.
In the afternoon, at Elder Hall, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the ‘Mountains, Clouds, Streams’ performance, part of the Elder Conservatorium of Music’s Lunchtime Concert Series in conjunction with OzAsia Festival. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the Elder Conservatorium Circle.
In the evening, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the Santos 70 Year Anniversary Gala Dinner.
During the day, the grounds of Government House were opened to members of the public as part of the “Lunch on the Lawns” program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, followed by a lunch time concert on the lawns with music provided by the Band of the SA Police.
