His Excellency the Governor travelled to Kangaroo Island where, accompanied by His Worship the Mayor, Mr Michael Pengilly, he toured fire affected areas, met with residents, and met and thanked volunteers and personnel of the Country Fire service, State Emergency service and SA Police.

On Saturday morning at the Old Gum Tree Reserve Glenelg North, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, read the Proclamation of South Australia and addressed the gathering at the South Australian Proclamation Day commemoration and community celebration.

In the afternoon at Novar Gardens, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at a Proclamation Day celebration hosted by The Pioneers Association of South Australia.

On Tuesday His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le continued to meet with members of the local community affected by the recent fires, Country Fire Service crews, Emergency Services staff and volunteers, in Mount Barker, Harrogate, Gumeracha, Cudlee Creek and Highbury.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Steven Marshall MP, Premier of South Australia, for a briefing on the current fire situation in South Australia.

Later in the morning, the Governor accompanied the Premier to fire affected areas in the Adelaide Hills and visited the Lobethal Relief Centre where he met with members of the local community and volunteers.

In the afternoon the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Ms Penny Wright, Guardian of Children and Young People in Care, and a young person under state guardianship.

On Wednesday afternoon at Adelaide Oval, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Christmas celebrations of the Rotary Club of Adelaide.

In the evening at Wardli Youth Centre, Christie Downs, the Governor and Mrs Le met with families and volunteers at the Fred’s Van Christmas celebrations hosted by The St Vincent de Paul Society (SA).

On Tuesday morning at Government House, Mrs Le hosted a morning tea for members and volunteers of The Rose Society of South Australia.

In the evening, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for Professor Brenda Wilson AM, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia and Dr Kym Bannister; The Honourable Chief Justice Chris Kourakis, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of South Australia and Ms Jane McGrath; The Honourable Andrew McLachlan CSC MLC, President of the Legislative Council and Mrs Marcia McLachlan, and The Honourable Vincent Tarzia MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly and Ms Charissa Tarzia.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Ms Julieann Riedstra, President and Mrs Elaine Bensted, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Zoological Society of SA.

In the afternoon, the Governor convened the selection process for the Governor’s South Australian Certificate of Education Commendation.

On Sunday afternoon at Edwardstown, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Christmas celebrations of the Vietnam Veterans’ Association of Australia, South Australia Branch.

On Friday morning at Government House, Mrs Le hosted a morning tea for Palliative Care South Australia.

In the afternoon at Marion, His Excellency the Governor addressed the gathering at the Christmas celebrations of the Vietnam Veterans’ Federation South Australian Branch.

In the evening at the Gallery of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts, the Governor officially opened the summer exhibition and new brand launch.

Afterwards at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for the Governor’s Honorary Aides-de-Camp in appreciation of the contribution made by them to the office of the Governor in 2019.

During the day, students from TafeSA toured Government House.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received Mrs Heather Richardson, Vice President and Mrs Sharyn Broer, Chief Executive Officer, Meals on Wheels (SA), followed by a luncheon, including members of the Board.

Later the Governor received Mr Dominic Lane AFMS, Chief Executive Officer, SAFECOM.

Afterwards the Governor received His Excellency Mr Mark Sofer, Ambassador of Israel and Mr Shai Zarivatch, Economic and Trade Attache, Embassy of Israel.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the annual South Australia Police Christmas Concert.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor visited the Greek Orthodox Community of the Nativity of Christ Port Adelaide Inc to meet with the Parish Priest, community leaders, parishioners and volunteers, and view the effects of the recent fire.

Also in the morning, at Mitcham, Mrs Le attended the Cottage Homes’ Christmas Committee meeting.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received the outgoing Commander of Navy Headquarters South Australia, Commander Andrew Burnett ADC RAN, and his successor, Commander Alastair Cooper ADC RAN.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to acknowledge the contribution of those who have supported Government House throughout the year.

Later at Penfolds Magill Estate, the Governor attended SA Power Networks’ 20 year Celebratory Function.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor placed a wreath at the Sir Ross Smith Memorial Re‑Dedication Ceremony organised by the City of Adelaide and the History Trust of South Australia.

Afterwards at Government House, Mrs Le met students from Woodside Preschool and viewed their Bob the Builder scarecrow in the vegetable garden, for which it had been selected by the Governor at the 2019 Royal Adelaide Show.

In the afternoon Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea for the President and Board Members of the Queen Adelaide Club.

In the evening at the Naval, Military and Air Force Club, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Royal Aeronautical Societies 2019 Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith Memorial Dinner, hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society – Adelaide Branch.

On Monday morning at Government House His Excellency the Governor received Mr Chris Burns CSC, President, Mr Mark Bourchier, Board Chairman and Mr Peter Ali, Chief Executive Officer, Legacy Club of South Australia & Broken Hill.

In the afternoon the Governor received His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi, Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for Year 12 students under state guardianship to acknowledge their schooling achievements.

On Sunday afternoon at Kapunda, the Governor officially opened the Kapunda Community Gallery’s 30th anniversary exhibition and presented awards and certificates to recipients

On Saturday evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended the 75th Torrens Transit Carols by Candlelight reception.

On Sunday afternoon at Kapunda, the Governor officially opened the Kapunda Community Gallery’s 30th anniversary exhibition and presented awards and certificates to recipients.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Andrew McLachlan CSC MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

Later at Torrensville, Mrs Le attended the Thebarton Senior College Graduation and Awards Ceremony.

In the afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le received Mr David Koch, Chair; Mr Kevin Osborn, Deputy Chair; Mr Keith Thomas, Chief Executive Officer; and Directors of the Port Adelaide Football Club Mr Andrew Day, Mr Gavin Wanganeen, Mr Trevor Thiele and Mr Matthew Richardson, followed by a luncheon.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House, the Governor received Mr Herman Chin, President, Chinatown Adelaide of South Australia, and members of the recently elected committee.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to present certificates to graduates of the AmCham Academy.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for Commander Andrew Burnett ADC at the completion of his term of duty as Commanding Officer, Royal Australian Navy, Navy Headquarters South Australia.  Other guests included Mrs Susan Burnett; Air Commodore Phil Gordon, Senior Defence Force Representative South Australia, Royal Australian Air Force – Edinburgh; Brigadier Damian Cantwell AM, Commander, Australian Army – HQ 9th Brigade and Mrs Susan Cantwell; and Mr Grant Stevens APM, Commissioner of South Australia Police and Mrs Emma Stevens.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Vincent Tarzia MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Le received Mr David Baker, President of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts; and artists Mr Hugh Adamson, Ms Iroda Adil, Ms Cheryl Bridgart, Mr Scott Eames and Mrs Margaret Lee, followed by a luncheon.

In the evening at Norwood, the Governor and Mrs Le attended The Rose Society of South Australia’s Christmas function, where Mrs Le presented awards.

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and presented gifts to children under state guardianship.  Christmas carols were performed by the Marryatville High School Girls’ Choir.

In the afternoon at the Adelaide Zoo, the Governor and Mrs Le greeted athletes and officers participating in the Special Olympics South Australia’s Law Enforcement Torch Run on International Day of People with Disability organised by Special Olympics South Australia.

Later at Government House, the Governor received Dr Chris Bleby SC, Solicitor-General of South Australia.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to present the 2019 Barkuma Employer Awards.

In the morning at the Stamford Grand Hotel, Glenelg, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests attending the Volunteers Appreciation and Christmas event, hosted by Eldercare.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for participants and supporters of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Program.

On Sunday afternoon at Kensington, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, unveiled a plaque and officially opened the Mary MacKillop Museum Adelaide, followed by a tour.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for Community Living Australia’s Rewards and Recognition Program.

In the evening at Salisbury, the Governor addressed the guests at the City of Salisbury Community Hub inaugural gala.

During the day, members of the Probus Club of Balaklava toured Government House.

On Thursday morning in the grounds of Government House, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, tossed the bat at the Mix102.3 Greatest Game of Backyard Cricket in support of the Childhood Cancer Association and Canteen.

Later at Government House, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to acknowledge supporters of the Neurosurgical Research Foundation.

Later at Hahndorf, the Governor addressed the guests at the annual conference function of the Apprentice Employment Network (SA).

On Wednesday morning at the Hilton Adelaide, Her Excellency Professor Brenda Wilson AM, as Governor’s Deputy, attended a morning tea for Order of Australia recipients and members of the Order of Australia Association, hosted by His Excellency General the Honourable David John Hurley AC DSC (Ret'd) Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley.

In the evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at the Governor’s Leadership Foundation 2019 Graduation Ceremony hosted by The Leaders Institute of South Australia.

On Tuesday students from Tafe SA and members of the Adare Uniting Church Group at Victor Harbor toured Government House.

On Friday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Her Excellency Professor Brenda Wilson AM, as Governor’s Deputy, officially opened the 2019 Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast.

During the day, students from Mitcham Primary School toured Government House.

On Thursday morning Her Excellency Professor Brenda Wilson AM, as Governor’s Deputy, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

During the day, students from Thebarton Senior College toured Government House.

His Excellency the Governor will be on annual leave from 12:01 pm Wednesday 20 November until 12:00 pm Wednesday 27 November 2019.  The Lieutenant Governor, Professor Brenda Wilson AM has been appointed as the Governor’s Deputy during this period.

On Wednesday evening at Government House, Her Excellency Professor Brenda Wilson AM, as Governor’s Deputy, hosted a reception for the 2019 South Australian Women's Honour Roll.

During the day, students from Highgate School toured Government House.
