On Monday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner at Government House.  Guests included Mr David Knox, Chief Executive Officer, Santos Ltd & Mrs Clare Knox, and Mr Mal Hyde AO APM, Commissioner of Police & Mrs Marcia Hyde.

On Sunday morning at the 2011 Flotilla for Kids at Outer Harbour, the Governor and Mrs Scarce met with families and sponsors associated with Camp Quality, Flotilla for Kids and the Rotary Club of Adelaide Inc.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Street Party in Chinatown, celebrating the 2011 Chinese Lunar New Year of the Rabbit.

In the evening at the Playford Civic Centre, the Governor, as a former scholar, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests at the reunion cocktail evening in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the opening of Elizabeth High School.

On Friday afternoon His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the funeral of the late Christine Hamilton at Centennial Park.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House the Governor received Professor Terry Buss, Executive Director and Mr James Jancu, Director of Marketing and External Relations, Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College Australia.

On Wednesday afternoon at Government House His Excellency the Governor was joined for luncheon by Mr Paul Starick, Advertiser News Director (Digital), Advertiser Newspapers Pty Ltd.

Later Mrs Scarce, as patron, officially opened the Lillies for Leukaemia Isolation Rooms of the Cancer Centre at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

On Tuesday afternoon at Government House received Mr Ken Duthie JP, in relation to The Royal Australian Regiment SA. 

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce received Admiral Chris Barry AC (Rtd), President of the Australian Crime Prevention Council and Mrs Maxine Barry. 

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The Order of Australia Association - South Australian Branch, and Mrs Scarce attended the Australia Day Multi Faith Observance Peace and Harmony at the Brougham Place Uniting Church.

In the afternoon Mrs Scarce, as patron-in-chief of the National Council of Women of South Australia Inc, layed a wreath at an Australia Day Ceremony at the Pioneer Women's Memorial Garden.

In the evening the Governor, as patron-in-chief of the Australia Day Council of South Australia Inc, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, reviewed the 2011 "Australia Day in the City" Parade from North Terrace, Adelaide.

On Tuesday evening in the grounds of Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron-in-chief of the Australia Day Council of South Australia Inc, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the guests and presented awards at a ceremony for the 2011 South Australian Citizen of the Year Awards.

On Monday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended an Australia Day celebration and barbecue hosted by Dr Tony Cocchiaro AM, Mrs Toni Cocchiaro and family at Fulham Gardens.

On Saturday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Events South Australia, attended the 2011 Santos Tour Down Under Legends' Night Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre and, on Sunday afternoon, viewed the Tour Down Under street circuit from King William Road.

Afterwards the Governor, as a guest of the Australian Crime Prevention Council, opened the Asia Pacific Crime Prevention Forum 2011 at Kathleen Lumley College, North Adelaide.

On Friday, as part of the ‘Governor's 10' team for the Cancer Council SA Ride for a Reason, His Excellency the Governor participated in the Macclesfield to Strathalbyn leg of the 2011 Santos Tour Down Under Mutual Community Challenge Tour.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening at Government House the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner.  Guests included Monsignor Ian Dempsey AO, Parish Priest, Brighton Catholic Parish; Sister Kathryn Vowels and Father Bryan Parnell.

On Wednesday evening at Government House His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Australia Day Council of South Australia Inc, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to recognise Australia Day Ambassadors.

Later at the InterContinental Adelaide, the Governor attended a dinner in honour of The Right Honourable Dr Liam Fox MP, Secretary of State for Defence in the Government of the United Kingdom, hosted by The Honourable Stephen Smith MP, Minister for Defence.

On Tuesday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended the performance of the West Side Story at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

In the evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception at Government House for those associated with the presentation of the Santos Tour Down Under.

On Sunday morning His Excellency the Governor, as number one ticket holder of the Strathalbyn Racing Club, and Mrs Scarce attended the Strathalbyn Cup.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of Events South Australia, attended the Santos Tour Down Under Cancer Council Classic in Rymill Park, Adelaide.

On Friday afternoon His Excellency the Governor hosted a luncheon at Government House for outgoing Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin Australia, Mr Paul Johnson. Guests included senior executives from the company and Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive, Defence SA.

On Wednesday evening His Excellency the Governor, as Patron of the South Australian Cricket Association, and Mrs Scarce attended the KFC Twenty20 International Match Australia v England at the Adelaide Oval.

His Excellency the Governor has  today written to the Governor of Queensland to  convey the sympathy of South Australians for the people of Queensland who have been so severely affected by the flooding.

On Monday morning community volunteers toured Government House.

In the afternoon His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

On Sunday morning the Governor and Mrs Scarce participated in the 2011 Resolution Run along the River Torrens for the Julian Burton Burns Trust.

On Saturday evening His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, presented a trophy and rug to the winning connections at the 2011 Summer Cup Carnival of Harness Racing SA at Globe Derby Park.
