On Friday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially opened the 2018 Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast.

Later at Government House, Mrs Le hosted a morning tea for Mrs Margie Berlemon AM, President, Children’s Week Association of SA and Mr Bill Berlemon.

In the afternoon at Unley, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially opened the Alliance Française d’Adelaide French Market.

In the evening at the National Wine Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, delivered the keynote address at the Board of Benefactor’s Festum hosted by The University of Adelaide.

During the day students from Thebarton Senior College toured Government House.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor toured the 2018 Export Award Winning company CMAX Clinical Research, met with staff and was briefed on operations.

In the afternoon at The War Veterans’ Home, Myrtle Bank, the Governor attended the 63rd annual Empire Air Training Scheme reunion.

Also in the afternoon at Government House, Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea for members of Palliative Care South Australia.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank supporters and employers of the Australian Defence Force Reservists.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Andrew McLachlan CSC MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

Afterwards the Governor received The Honourable Vincent Tarzia MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon at Thebarton, the Governor attended the Uniting Communities Ruby’s Reunification Program 25th birthday celebration, followed by a tour of Ruby’s House.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Catherine House.

Later at Parliament House, the Governor was hosted by The Honourable Andrew McLachlan CSC MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

During the day Students from St Andrew’s School toured Government House.

On Tuesday morning at Gepps Cross, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially re-opened the refurbished Food Centre, a not-for-profit organisation that provides affordable groceries, clothing and household goods, and social interaction, to those on low incomes or experiencing financial difficulty.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - South Australia 2018 Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Awards.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor hosted a morning tea to welcome executives of the Adelaide Convention Bureau and the company Nu Skin.

Later at Parkside, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially re-opened the Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre.

In the evening at the Adelaide Pavilion, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Consular Corps of South Australia end of year function.

On Sunday afternoon at Payneham Cricket Oval, the Governor attended The Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Baker-Gordon charity shield match between the Army and Air Force.

On Saturday morning at North Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor addressed the gathering and officially opened the Adelaide Art Society’s Spring Art Exhibition.

In the evening at Tusmore, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Adelaide Tamil Language School’s Pearl Jubilee Cultural function hosted by the Ceylon Tamil Association of South Australia.

Later at Magill, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering at the Campbelltown City Council’s sesquicentennial celebration.

Afterwards at the Migration Museum, Adelaide, the Governor addressed the guests at the ‘Taste of Home’ gala event organised by the Migration Museum Foundation.

On Friday morning at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at the Fred Hollows Humanity awards presentation ceremony hosted by The Fred Hollows Foundation.

In the afternoon at Modbury, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests and presented awards at the Meals on Wheels South Australia annual awards day ceremony.

Also in the afternoon at Government House, Professor Brenda Wilson, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia, on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, hosted a luncheon for The Honourable Sir Eric Neal AC CVO, Hawke Centre Patron, and Lady Joan Neal AM; Mr Stan Grant, Annual Hawke Lecturer 2018; Ms Pauline Carr, Chancellor and Professor David Lloyd, Vice-Chancellor, The University of South Australia, and Ms Jill Saunders and  Ms Jacinta Thompson.

In the evening at Adelaide Oval, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, presented awards at the 2018 South Australian Sports awards ceremony hosted by the South Australian Sports Federation.

On Thursday morning in the grounds of Government House, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at a breakfast hosted by the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust 2018 Churchill Fellowship Awards.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank sponsors and supporters of the Migration Museum Foundation.

Later at Adelaide Oval, the Governor presented awards at the 2018 Australian eChallenge Awards function hosted by The University of Adelaide.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Vincent Tarzia MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Later, at Government House, Mrs Le met students from Elizabeth Vale Primary School and viewed their Teacher scarecrow in the vegetable garden, for which it had been selected by the Governor at the 2018 Royal Adelaide Show.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Le received Mr Bill Muirhead AM, Agent-General for South Australia, and Mrs Jeanne Muirhead, followed by a luncheon.

Later in the afternoon the Governor met with The Honourable John Dawkins MLC and members of the Premier’s Council on Suicide Prevention.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Dr Sorayya Martin of the Mahmood Martin Foundation.

Later the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to present The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of South Australia President’s Awards.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for volunteers and supporters of Trojan’s Trek.

During the day students from Seaview Christian College toured Government House.

On Monday morning at Edwardstown, His Excellency the Governor toured the 2018 Export Award Winning company SEAPA, met with staff and was briefed on operations. 

In the afternoon at Government House, Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea for members of the Stirling Ladies Probus Club.

Later in the afternoon at Hindmarsh, the Governor officially launched CARA’s new head office, followed by a tour.

During the day members of the Probus Club of Marion toured Government House.

On Sunday morning at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a breakfast in tribute to WWII Veterans and to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice.

Afterwards at the State National War Memorial, the Governor and Mrs Le planted a cross and placed a tribute in memory of the fallen at the Centenary of Armistice Commemoration Service organised by The Returned and Services League of Australia (SA Branch).

Later at Prospect, the Governor officially launched the book ‘Leane Times’ by Wendy Frew.

On Saturday morning at Rundle Park, His Excellency the Governor officially opened the 14th Korean Culture and Food Festival organised by the Korean Community of SA.

In the afternoon in the grounds of Government House, Mrs Le hosted a ‘Time of Remembrance’ ceremony and afternoon tea for Cystic Fibrosis South Australia.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a State Dinner hosted by the Premier, The Honourable Steven Marshall MP, to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr Greg Mackie OAM, Chief Executive Officer, History Trust of South Australia; Ms Lainie Anderson, Writer and Epic Flight Centenary 2019 Ambassador; and Group Captain Greg Weller, Director Community Engagement, Royal Australian Air Force, Edinburgh.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Le received Mr Michael Abbott AO QC, Chairman, Adelaide Festival Centre Trust, and Ms Sue Crafter, Honorary Consul of France; Mr Douglas Gautier AM, Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director, Adelaide Festival Centre; Mr Joseph Mitchell, Artistic Director, OzAsia Festival; and Ms Zeenat Aman, Mr Sanjoy Roy, Mr William Dalrymple, Ms Namita Gokhale, Ms Shobhaa De, Ms Anita Nair, Mr Devdutt Pattanaik, Mr Uday Prakash and Ms Vidya Shah from the Jaipur Literature Festival, followed by a luncheon.

In the evening at Parliament House, the Governor attended a reception in honour of the service of the Consul-General of Greece, Mr Andreas-Konstantino Gouras.

Afterwards at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially opened the Jaipur Literature Festival.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received The Honourable Tim Whetstone MP, Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development.

Later in the grounds of Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a garden reception to acknowledge CFS and SES volunteers.

In the evening at the Adelaide Botanic Garden, the Governor attended the Great Wine Capitals Global Network function hosted by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia.

On Wednesday afternoon in the grounds of Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a garden reception for representatives of organisations of which they are patrons or honorary members.

In the evening at the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Governor attended a celebration acknowledging 30 years of BHP Olympic Dam and Roxby Downs.

Afterwards in Green Fields, the Governor addressed the gathering at the Diwali Celebration organised by BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.

On Tuesday morning students from St Peter’s Woodlands Grammar School toured Government House.

On Monday evening at Government House, Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank volunteers and supporters of the Cora Barclay Centre.

On Sunday afternoon at Uraidla Showgrounds, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially opened the 130th Uraidla Show organised by the Uraidla and Summertown Horticultural and Floricultural Society, and afterwards presented awards and toured exhibits.

On Saturday morning at the Adelaide Oval, His Excellency the Governor addressed the gathering at the Ethnic School’s Day parade and concert hosted by The Ethnic Schools Association of South Australia.

In the afternoon at Outer Harbor, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially opened the 2018-2019 sailing season at the 149th Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron’s Opening Day.

In the evening at the Adelaide Oval, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at a gala function hosted by the Australian Chinese Medical Association Foundation.

On Friday afternoon at Government House, Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea for Southern Agricultural Society, Port Elliot Show committee members.

In the evening at Somerton Park, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at the 2018 Debating SA award presentation function.

Afterwards at the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Governor addressed the guests at the memorial function for the late Professor Donald Simpson AO hosted by the Neurosurgical Research Foundation.

On Thursday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests and officially opened the Centenary of Armistice commemorations hosted by The Returned and Services League of Australia (SA Branch).

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Osborne, the Governor attended the official opening of the Naval Shipbuilding College.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception prior to the announcement of the Australian of the Year awards.

In the evening at the Adelaide Oval, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests, presented certificates and announced the winner of the Australian of the Year award at a function hosted by the Australia Day Council of South Australia.

In the afternoon at Government House, Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea for South Australian Veterinary Emergency Management volunteers.

In the evening at a function at Unley Park, the Governor addressed the guests and presented the 2018 UNESCO Clubs Adelaide Chapter Awards.

On Monday morning at Government House, Mrs Le hosted a morning tea for the South Australian Women’s Memorial Playing Fields Trust.

In the evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the Adelaide Children’s Hospital.

On Sunday morning at Strathalbyn, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests and unveiled a statue and plaque of Kenny Blake at the Kenny Blake Festival of Motorcycling hosted by the Strathalbyn and Lakes Tourist Association.

In the afternoon at Norwood, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Russian Community Centre’s Anniversary Gala.

Afterwards at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor addressed the guests and presented Ambulance Service Medals at the annual South Australian Ambulance Service award ceremony.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor attended a commemorative service to celebrate the life of the late Mr Quentin Kenihan hosted by the Government of South Australia and the City of Adelaide.

On Saturday morning at Elder Park, His Excellency the Governor addressed the gathering at the Chinatown Adelaide Dragon Boat Race.

In the afternoon at North Haven, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially opened the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia’s 2018 Opening Day.

In the evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor addressed the guests at the Adelaide Festival Centre’s OzAsia Moon Lantern Festival.

Afterwards at Brompton, the Governor addressed the guests at the 40th Anniversary Lenek Zabava hosted by the HFS Lenek Adelaide, Croatian Folklore Group.

On Friday at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as Chair of the Selection Committee, convened the final interviews for the selection of the 2019 Rhodes Scholar for South Australia and hosted the announcement of the successful candidate.  The Committee comprised of Professor Lisa Hill, Deputy Chair, Mr Bill Spurr AO, Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk, Professor Nicholas Jose, Ms Natasha Stott Despoja AM, and was attended by Dr Justin Chalker and Professor John Williams, State Secretaries of the South Australian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee. 

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Golden Grove, the Governor toured the 2018 Concept2Creation Expo and met with students.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received South Australian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee members and short-listed candidates, followed by a luncheon.

In the evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, officially opened the Adelaide Festival Centre’s OzAsia Festival.

Later at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors South Australian annual function.
