On Thursday His Excellency the Governor continued his visit to Canberra.

In the morning at Government House, Canberra, the Governor was hosted for breakfast by His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia. Afterwards, the Governor was escorted on a tour of the National Library and viewed items in the collection of particular relevance to South Australia.

During the day at Government House, Adelaide, Mrs Le hosted a morning tea to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Women's Royal Naval Service.

In the afternoon the Governor returned to Adelaide.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor departed for Canberra.

In the evening at Parliament House, Canberra, the Governor delivered the keynote address at the Australian Migration and Settlement Awards 2017.

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, in the grounds of Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a celebration of South Australia's cultural diversity for 385 dignitaries and guests, where the Governor presented the Governor’s Multicultural Awards for 2016.

At luncheon, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted Professor Brenda Wilson, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia, The Honourable Grace Portolesi, Chair, and Mr Norman Schueler OAM, Deputy Chair, South Australian Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commission, and Mr George Megalogenis.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Le received Mr Philip Flood AO, National President, The Order of Australia Association and Mrs Carole Flood, and Mr Ken Coventry OAM, Chairman, The Order of Australia Association – South Australia Branch, of which the Governor is Patron, and Mrs Dianne Coventry.

On Monday His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le visited the City of Port Adelaide and Enfield and met with His Worship the Mayor Mr Gary Johanson and Mr Mark Withers, Chief Executive Officer. Following this, the Governor and Mrs Le were escorted on a tour of the area, including visits to the Fontanelle Art Gallery, Port Admiral Hotel, Mixed Creative, Dock 1 Development Site, Taperoo Football Facility, the Roy Marten Park & Fort Largs Development, the Parks Library Site, and the Lightsview Indoor Recreation Centre Project and were hosted at luncheon at the Port Adelaide Town Hall.

In the evening at Pulteney Grammar School, Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a reception to commemorate Commonwealth Day, hosted by The Joint Commonwealth Societies Council in South Australia.

On Saturday afternoon at Bonython Park, Thebarton, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests at the NOWRUZ 2017 New Year Festival, celebrating Middle Eastern communities and culture.

On Saturday evening at Joslin Reserve, Joslin, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, welcomed guests to the City of Norwood Payneham and St Peter’s Melodies in the Park.

On Friday morning in Keswick, His Excellency the Governor unveiled a memorial and laid a wreath at the Memorial Dedication at the National Servicemen’s Association of Australia South Australia Branch’s Memorial Garden Project.

In the afternoon at Adelaide Oval, the Governor officially opened the 2017 St Patrick’s Day Celebrations for the Irish Australia Association.

Later at Government House, Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea and tour of Government House for volunteers from the South East Region of the Australian Red Cross, of which organisation she is Patron.

In the evening at Outer Harbour, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a reception on board the visiting Spanish Frigate Cristóbal Colón, and met with His Excellency Mr Manuel Cacho, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Spain to Australia, and Commander Ignacio Cuartero, Commanding Officer of the Cristóbal Colón.

Afterwards at the Dunstan Playhouse, Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a performance of ‘Backbone’.

On Thursday morning in Blair Athol, His Excellency the Governor met with volunteers and toured the kitchen facilities at the Enfield branch of Meals on Wheels, of which organisation he is Patron.

Later at Carisbrooke Reserve, Salisbury Park, the Governor, as a guest of the Northern Health Network, addressed the guests at the Closing the Gap Day celebration.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor, who is patron, and Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank volunteers and supporters of Can:Do Group, encompassing Can:Do 4Kids and Deaf Can:Do.

Afterwards at Anstey Hill Recreation Park, Tea Tree Gully, the Governor attended a performance of ‘The Secret River’.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

At luncheon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted the Chair, the Artistic Director, board and staff members, sponsors, benefactors and artists of the 2017 Adelaide Festival.

In the evening in Elizabeth, the Governor and Mrs Le met with volunteers and clients at Fred’s Van, operated by The St Vincent de Paul Society (South Australia).

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr Richard Holland, Chair, Mr David Cockshell, Project Administrator, and Mr Vern Marshall, Member, South Australian International Hospital Aide.

In the afternoon at Government House, Mrs Le, who is Patron, hosted an afternoon tea for the committee of the South Australian Women's Memorial Playing Fields Trust, and presented Honorary Life Membership certificates to Mrs Dorothy Pyatt OAM and Mr Leslie Brown. The Governor, who is Chief Scout, took the opportunity to meet Mr Brown, who is one of South Australia’s oldest and longest serving Scouts.

In the evening at the ABC Studios in Collinswood, the Governor was interviewed by Mr Peter Goers OAM on ABC Radio Adelaide.

On Monday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, who is patron of the South Australian Jockey Club, accompanied by Mrs Le, attended the running of the 2017 UBET Adelaide Cup at Morphettville Racecourse and presented the Adelaide Cup to the winning connections.

On Saturday morning at the Irish Club Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor addressed the participants in the St Patrick’s Day Parade.

On Friday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Adelaide International Women’s Day Breakfast.

Later, in Lonsdale, the Governor visited the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (South Australia), of which the Governor is Patron, where he met with staff and volunteers then received a briefing and was escorted on a tour of the shelter.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received Her Excellency Mrs Ekaterini Xagorari,

Ambassador of Greece to Australia, and Mr Andreas-Konstantinos Gouras, Consul General of Greece in Adelaide.

In the evening at the UKARIA Cultural Centre, Mount Barker Summit, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a performance of ‘Chamber Landscapes’ and met with the performers and curator of the work.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le visited the Pirie Street offices of The Royal Society for the Blind, of which the Governor is Patron. The Governor and Mrs Le were escorted on a tour of the facility and received briefings on the Low Vision Centre, Employment Services and the Guide and Assistance Dog Service program, then met staff and volunteers.

In the afternoon at the Playford Civic Centre, Elizabeth, the Governor officially opened the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network’s Embracing Health and Diversity Migrant and Refugee Health Forum.

Later, at Government House, Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea for the committee of the Quilters Guild of South Australia.

On Wednesday morning at the Adelaide Pavilion, Mrs Le, as a guest of Women in Rotary South Australia, attended a breakfast for International Women’s Day.

Later at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

At luncheon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted the Artistic Director, the CEO, board members, sponsors, benefactors and artists of the 2017 Adelaide Festival.

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor received Associate Professor John Power, President, and Ms Olivia Nassaris, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Parkinson's South Australia, of which the Governor is Patron.

Later at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club, Seaton, Mrs Le, who is patron of the Women Members, attended the Women’s Opening Day.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mrs Le attended “Concerto Italiano”, as part of the Adelaide Festival.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr Tim Jackson, Chair, and Ms Evelyn O’Loughlin, Chief Executive Officer, Volunteering SA&NT, of which he is Patron.

In the afternoon in North Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le received a guided tour of the David Roche Foundation House Museum.

In the evening in Gawler Place, Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le met with volunteers and clients at Fred’s Van, operated by The St Vincent de Paul Society (South Australia).

During the day volunteers from Alexandrina Council’s Community Hub, officially opened by

His Excellency in November 2016, toured Government House.

On Sunday afternoon His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended the 2017 Clipsal 500 Adelaide V8 Supercar Race, and met with local and interstate business leaders.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Ms Helen Shaw, President, and Ms Ruth Bryan, Chief Executive Officer, SIDS and Kids South Australia.

In the afternoon at the District Court of South Australia, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a function in the Judges’ Common Room.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Adelaide Festival, attended the opening night of the Riverbank Palais, Elder Park, and then a performance of ‘Saul’ at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

During the day students from the states of Hamburg and Bavaria, participating in the South Australia German Exchange program, toured Government House.

On Thursday morning as part of a visit to Surf Life Saving South Australia, His Excellency the Governor visited Helistar at Adelaide Airport, receiving a briefing on the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, and later toured the facilities at Surf Central, West Beach.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received Mr Geoff Penley, outgoing President,

Mr Andrew Marshall, incoming President, and Mr Stuart White, Secretary, Australian Institute of Building – South Australian Chapter, and presented the outgoing and incoming Presidents with medals.

Later, the Governor, who is Chief Scout, received Mr Harry Long, Chief Commissioner, Scouts Australia – South Australian Branch.

On Wednesday morning at Bedford Group, Panorama, His Excellency the Governor received a briefing on the organisation, prior to being escorted on a tour of the operations.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the Adelaide Festival Chairman’s Circle.

Afterwards at Adelaide Oval, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Media Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia.  Afterwards, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later the Governor, who is patron of South Australian Rostrum, received Mr Rod Ellis, President and Ms Shirley Reed, Secretary.

In the afternoon Mrs Le, who is patron, hosted an afternoon tea for the committee of The South Australian Country Women's Association.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr Rob Chapman, Chairman, Investment Attraction South Australia.

In the afternoon at Bonython Hall, The University of Adelaide, the Governor attended a memorial service to celebrate the life of the late The Honourable Dr Basil Hetzel AC.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to acknowledge volunteers and supporters of Down Syndrome South Australia, at which the Governor, who is Patron, presented retiring Board members and volunteers with tokens of thanks.

On Sunday morning the Governor and Mrs Le attended the mass for the commemoration of the Feast Day of Saint Maroun at Saint Maroun’s Church, Goodwood.

In the afternoon at Whitmore Square, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia’s Harmony Picnic in the Square.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor departed Adelaide for Port Lincoln.

Shortly after arrival, the Governor addressed the guests and officially unveiled a statue of Captain Matthew Flinders at the Nautilus Arts Centre.

In the afternoon, at the Axel Stenross Maritime Museum, the Governor addressed the guests and unveiled a story-board dedicated to the restored ketch ‘Hecla’, prior to receiving a tour of the museum.

Afterwards, the Governor was hosted at luncheon by His Worship the Mayor of the City of Port Lincoln Mr Bruce Green, and Council members.

Following luncheon, the Governor was escorted on a tour of Mill Cottage, and received a briefing on the local history of Port Lincoln and the surrounding district.

On Saturday evening the Governor returned to Adelaide.

On Friday afternoon at the Hahndorf Resort, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests at the Country Press South Australia Conference.

In the evening at Carclew House and Gardens, Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the 50th Anniversary Launch Party for Barkuma Inc.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Dr Jane Zhang, President of the Australian Chinese Medical Association South Australia.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to launch the Governor’s Leadership Program for 2017.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly. Afterwards, the Governor received the Honourable Russell Wortley MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

In the evening at the Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, the University of South Australia, Adelaide, the Governor officially opened the exhibition, “SANAA: A Better World Through Creativity”.

During the day students from Brighton Primary School toured Government House.

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor undertook an industry visit to Coopers Brewery, Regency Park.

On Monday evening at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust 2016 Churchill Fellowship Awards.

On Saturday evening at the Prophet Elias Church, Norwood, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended the 7th Annual Norwood Greek Cultural Festival.
