On Monday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening at Prince Alfred College, Kent Town, the Governor addressed the students participating in the Yaitya Tita Aboriginal Youth Connect Program.

On Sunday at Ottoway, the Governor attended the 2018 Vesak Day celebration hosted by The South Australian Zhu-Lin Buddhist Association.

On Saturday evening at the National Wine Centre of Australia, Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests at the 2018 Sammy D Foundation gala event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sam Davis' passing and to acknowledge the achievements of the Sammy D Foundation.

On Friday morning at the Pullman Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor delivered the opening address at a conference “Think Different In Health”, hosted by the Australasian College of Health Service Management, South Australia Branch.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a luncheon, as part of National Volunteer Week, for volunteers who conduct tours of Government House throughout the year for community groups and schools.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor and Mrs Le attend the 50th anniversary celebration of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a morning tea for members of the Friends of Old Government House, followed by a tour.

In the evening at the Hilton Adelaide, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Victoria Square Fountain’s 50th anniversary celebration.

On Wednesday evening at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for the members of the Shadow Ministry and their partners.

On Tuesday His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests and presented awards at the annual Volunteer of the Year awards function hosted by His Worship the Mayor of the Town of Walkerville, Mr Raymond Grigg.

On Monday afternoon at Victoria Square, Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor addressed the guests and officially opened National Volunteering Week 2018 at an event hosted by Volunteering SA&NT.

Also in the afternoon at Kent Town, Mrs Le addressed the guests at a function hosted by the South Australian Country Women's Association.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank supporters of the Helpmann Academy.

During the day members of the Beefacres Probus Club toured Government House.

On Sunday evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Iftar celebrations hosted by the Islamic Arabic Centre in conjunction with Mr Khalil Shahin AO, Managing Director, Peregrine Corporation.

On Saturday morning at Osborne, His Excellency the Governor attended a ceremony for the official launch of the future Air Warfare Destroyer Sydney.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor addressed the guest at the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency’s Long Service Award function.

Afterwards at the Hilton Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Australian Medical Association of South Australia’s Charity Gala function.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr Adrian Vatovec, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Adelaide and Ms Sandra Ullrich, Adelaide Bee Sanctuary, in anticipation of World Bee Day on 20 May.

In the afternoon the Governor hosted a luncheon for members of the Oakbank Racing Club Committee.

Later the Governor officially opened the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation’s Education and Conference Centre at Ridleyton.

In the evening at Norwood, the Governor officially opened The Odeon, now refurbished as the home of the Australian Dance Theatre.

Later at Bonython Hall, The University of Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Town and Gown gala event and the Investiture of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Rathjen.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of the Governor’s Aboriginal Youth Award for Higher Education and for Arts.

In the afternoon Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea for members of Women in Rotary D9500 and D9520.

On Wednesday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le returned to Adelaide at the conclusion of their visit to the Northern Areas Council and the District Council of Mount Remarkable.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor hosted a luncheon for Ms Forough Salami-Dadkha, Vice President for International and European Affairs and accompanying delegation from Brittany, France.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le continued their visit to the Northern Areas Council and the District Council of Mount Remarkable.

In the morning the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering at a breakfast in support of the Jamestown Hospital Ward Re-development Project.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Le toured the Diggers Walk followed by a Memorial Service where they placed a wreath at the Memorial Arch, Soldier’s Memorial Park.

Later the Governor and Mrs Le toured and received a briefing at Kelly Engineering; the Booleroo Steam and Traction Preservation Society; Melrose District Historical Society and Over the Edge Sports.  The Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, also met with students and teachers at Booleroo Centre District School and addressed the gathering at a school assembly.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted His Worship the Mayor of the District Council of Mount Remarkable Mr Colin Nottle and Mrs Heather Nottle, His Worship the Mayor of the Flinders Ranges Council Mr Peter Slattery and Mrs Lee-Ann Slattery, His Worship the Mayor of the Northern Areas Council Mr Denis Clark and Mrs Mary Clark, Her Worship the Mayor of the District Council of Peterborough Mrs Ruth Whittle OAM, and Mrs Kathie Bowman, Chairman, District Council of Orroroo Carrieton and Mr Robert Bowman.

The Governor has appointed the Honourable Chief Justice Christopher Kourakis to be Governor’s Deputy from Monday 14th May 2018 until the morning of Wednesday 16th May 2018.

In the morning in Adelaide the Governor’s Deputy participated in the JusticeNet SA 2018 Walk for Justice.

In the evening at Government House the Governor’s Deputy hosted a reception to coincide with a book launch marking the centenary of the federation of the Australian Music Examinations Board.

On Monday morning at St Francis Xavier Cathedral, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended a funeral mass for the late Emeritus Archbishop Leonard Anthony Faulkner.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Le departed for a regional visit to the Northern Areas Council and the District Council of Mount Remarkable.

In the evening at Jamestown the Governor and Mrs Le were hosted for dinner by Mr Denis Clark, His Worship the Mayor of the Northern Areas Council, and Mrs Mary Clark.

On Saturday morning at Torrens Parade Ground, His Excellency the Governor placed a wreath at a service to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battles at Fire Support Bases Coral and Balmoral.

In the afternoon at Adelaide Oval, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, attended the South Australian National Football League Chairman’s function and watched the football game between South Australia and Western Australia, and afterwards presented the State Game Cup to the winning team.

In the evening at Woodville, the Governor addressed the guests at the celebration of Pohela Boishakh and Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti 1425 (Bengali New Year 2018), hosted by the Bangladesh Puja & Cultural Society of South Australia.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Tung Ngo MLC, Co-Chair, Vietnamese Boat People Monument Association.

Afterwards Mrs Le hosted a morning tea for members of the War Widows' Guild of Australia (SA).

Later the Governor received The Honourable David Ridgway MLC, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception and dinner to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Battles at Fire Support Bases Coral and Balmoral.

On Thursday morning at St Peter's Cathedral, His Excellency the Governor attended The SA Parliamentary Christian Fellowship’s opening service to mark the beginning of the 2018 State Parliamentary Year.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a morning tea for Mr Mick Sherry, Electoral Commissioner, and staff members from the Electoral Commission of South Australia.

In the afternoon at the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Governor and Mrs Le toured the exhibitions Queen Adelaide and China and the World.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Steven Marshall MP, Premier of South Australia.

Later the Governor received Mrs Katie Sarah, Mountaineer, South Australia’s first women to climb Mount Everest and to achieve the remarkable mountaineering feat of the ‘Seven-Seven’.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr Douglas Gautier AM, Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director, Adelaide Festival Centre and the OzAsia Festival and Mr Joseph Mitchell, Festival Director, OzAsia Festival.

In the evening at Fullarton, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the 2018 Impact100 SA Grants Award Night.

On Monday at Greenfields, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests and placed a wreath at the 73rd Netherlands Remembrance and Liberation Service, organised by the Netherlands Ex-Servicemen & Women's Association in Australia, South Australian Branch.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to acknowledge volunteers and supporters of KickStart For Kids.  KickStart For Kids is a not-for-profit organisation that helps school children achieve positive educational and self-esteem outcomes through breakfast, lunch and mentoring programs.

On Sunday morning at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, placed a wreath at the 76th anniversary Coral Sea commemorative service, organised by the Australian American Association in South Australia.

In the afternoon at Lower Light, the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at the South Australian Rifle Association’s State Rifle Shooting Championships.

On Saturday evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests and presented the scholarship award at The Order of Australia Association National Conference function.

On Friday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received members of the Australian Institute of Building, including Mr William McLeay, President, and Mr Andrew Marshall, Immediate Past President, South Australian Chapter, and Mr Paul Heather AM, National President, and Mr Greg Hughes, National Chief Executive Officer.

Later the Governor received Mr John Hancock AM from the Bangkok Chapter of the South Australia Club.

In the evening at the National Wine Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests and presented awards at the annual Professional Excellence Awards function hosted by The Australian Institute of Building - South Australian Chapter.

During the day members of the Marion Probus Club toured Government House.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le received members of the House of Assembly for the presentation of the new Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Le received members of the Legislative Council for the presentation of the President of the Legislative Council.

Later at Parliament House, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed and opened the first session of the 54th Parliament of South Australia.  Afterwards at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the service and other personnel who supported His Excellency in the event.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for members of the Executive Council and their partners.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Ms Victoria Lewis, Founder of Sanaa Ink; Mr Gabriel Akon, Founder of Playback 808; Mr Stephen Tongun, African Australian Community Member; and Mr Stanje Mgenge, African Australian Artist, and was presented with artwork from Sanaa Ink: A better world through creativity project.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to welcome delegates attending the Variety International Conference.

Later the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for Mr Ryuta Ibaragi, Governor of Okayama, and accompanying delegation and South Australian representatives, on the occasion of Mr Ibaragi’s visit to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the South Australia-Okayama sister-state relationship and identify potential commercial opportunities.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor attended the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Team Celebration Reception at Adelaide Town Hall.

On Monday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le undertook industry visits to Richard Gunner’s Fine Meats in Mount Barker and to Woodside Cheese Wrights in Woodside.

Later in Glandore, the Governor and Mrs Le undertook a tour of Puddle Jumpers Inc, an organisation which supports underprivileged and at-risk children in South Australia, and met with families and volunteers attending the community food night.

On Sunday afternoon at Goolwa, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Sustainable Development Goal Pipi event, organised by the United Nations Association of Australia - South Australia.

During the day, the public rooms of Government House were opened for viewing by members of the community as part of South Australia’s 2018 History Festival Open Doors program in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the History Festival.

On Friday morning at the Hilton Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor delivered the opening address at the 2018 College of Clinical Psychologists Conference opening ceremony, hosted by the Australian Psychological Society.

Later in Adelaide, the Governor joined the International Guide Dog Day Parade and afterwards in the grounds of Government House, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests and presented awards at the International Guide Dog Day celebratory function.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received Professor Peter Rathjen, Vice-Chancellor & President, and Professor John Williams, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research Operations and Dean of Graduate Studies, The University of Adelaide, followed by a luncheon.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a reception to mark the anniversary of Colonel William Light's Birthday, hosted by The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Mr Martin Haese.

Afterwards at the Adelaide Zoological Gardens, the Governor and Mrs Le attended an ANZAC commemorative event, hosted by The Repat Foundation – The Road Home.
