On Tuesday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the 9th biennial International Convention of Asia Scholars, and Mrs Le hosted a reception for delegates attending the convention.

In the evening at the Dunstan Playhouse, the Governor, as patron of the OzAsia Festival and accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the OzAsia Festival 2015 Program launch.

On Monday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of OzAsia Festival, received Mr Douglas Gautier, Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director, Adelaide Festival Centre and Mr Joseph Mitchell, OzAsia Festival Director.

In the evening at the South Australian Museum, the Governor attended a reception in honour of NAIDOC Week and for the announcement of the 2015 Premier's NAIDOC Award.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor, as patron of the Royal Commonwealth Society (South Australian Branch), and Mrs Le attended a Queen's Birthday Luncheon  hosted by the Society at the Public Schools Club, Adelaide.

On Saturday morning, His Excellency the Governor delivered the opening address at the Annual Conference of the National Chinese Language Teachers Federation of Australia.

On Friday afternoon at the Sir Samuel Way Building, Victoria Square, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended a luncheon with Judges of the District Court of South Australia.

In the evening at the Stamford Plaza Adelaide, as Patron of the Returned Services League of Australia
(SA Branch), the Governor attended a pre-conference cocktail reception.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later at Government House, the Governor received Ms Libby Christie, Executive Director and Mr Kenneth Watkins, Director of Philanthrophy, The Australian Ballet.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor as a guest of the Law Foundation of South Australia, presented the 2015 Fellowships at the Foundation’s annual fellowship ceremony.

Also in the evening at the Torrens Parade Ground, Mrs Le, as a guest of History SA, addressed the guests and officially launched the audio-visual presentation “Violet Verses” to mark the centenary of the first Violet Day in South Australia.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in South Australia, and Mrs Le hosted a ceremony for the presentation of the 2015 Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Awards to twenty-one recipients, followed by refreshments.

On Monday evening at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank volunteers who assisted with the Carnevale Italian Festival 2015.

On Sunday morning His Excellency the Governor, as Deputy Prior of St John Ambulance Australia SA, and Mrs Le attended the St John Rededication Service at St Augustine’s Anglican Church, Unley.

In the afternoon the Governor, as Honorary Member, and Mrs Le attended the Handover Luncheon for the Lions Club of the City of Adelaide at the Royal Park Motor Inn, North Adelaide.

On Friday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le, received His Excellency Mr Charalampos Dafaranos, Ambassador of Greece and Mrs Eva Dafaranos, and Mr Andreas Gouras, Consul-General of Greece.   Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a luncheon for the Ambassador, Mrs Eva Dafaranos and the Consul-General of Greece.  Other guests included The Honourable Chief Justice Chris Kourakis, Chief Justice of South Australia; Mr John Kiosoglous MBE ASM, Chairman, Festival Organising Committee, Greek Orthodox Community & Parish of Prophet Elias, Norwood and Eastern Suburbs; Mr Bill Gonis, President of the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia; Ms Helena Kyriazopoulos, President, Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia; Ms Zoi Papafilopoulos, Acting President, Festival Hellenika; and Mr Mike Diakomichalis, Festival Director of the Glendi Greek Festival

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, Mrs Le as patron of the Lyceum Club, attended a morning tea held in her honour at the Club in Leigh Street.

In the evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a celebration of the contribution of Ms Madge McGuire to the work of Catherine House upon her retirement as Chief Executive Officer.  At the celebration Mrs Le addressed the guests to extend her best wishes.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Ms Frances Bedford MP,  Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon at Largs Bay, the Governor, as patron of the Company of Master Mariners of Australia Ltd - South Australia Branch, addressed the gathering at a monthly luncheon.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Le hosted a reception to acknowledge supporters of Youth Opportunities SA.

Later at Brighton High School, the Governor attended a concert to celebrate Mr Jeffrey Kong’s retirement and contribution to music education.

On Tuesday, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le continued their visit to Canberra.

 

In the morning, the Governor and Mrs Le visited the Australian War Memorial and were hosted by Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), Chairman of the Council, and the Honourable Dr Brendan Nelson, Director.  There the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, laid a wreath in the Hall of Memory at the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier.  Afterwards, the Governor and Mrs Le toured the Memorial’s commemorative area and galleries.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mrs Le visited the Australian Vietnam Forces National Memorial on Anzac Parade, where His Excellency placed a floral tribute before they were given a tour and briefing on the Memorial.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs Le returned to Adelaide.

On Monday afternoon, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le departed Adelaide for Canberra.

In the evening at Parliament House in Canberra, the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Vietnamese Community in Australia – NSW Chapter, attended the 40th anniversary celebration of Vietnamese settlement in Australia.

On Sunday afternoon at the Glenelg Golf Club, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, was the Guest Speaker at the Association’s Annual Luncheon of the Overseas Specialist Surgical Association of Australia.

Afterwards at Federation Park, Gumeracha, the Governor and Mrs Le joined a barbeque hosted by the Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, the Premier of South Australia, to thank volunteers for their assistance during the Sampson Flat bushfire emergency and recovery in January 2015.

On Saturday afternoon, at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended an Iftar celebration as guests of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens Foundation and the Peregrine Corporation, working in conjunction with the Islamic Arabic Centre.

In the evening at the Hilton Hotel Adelaide, the Governor accompanied by Mrs Le, and as guests of the Sovereign Military and Hospitaller Order of Malta, addressed the guests at the Bi-Annual National Assembly Dinner.

On Friday in the morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron, received Dr Pamela Schulz OAM, Immediate Past Chair and Dr Andrew Cannon AM, Chair of the Defence Reserves Support Council - South Australia.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor received Ms Kylie O'Leary, Project Manager, Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure and Mr Steve Grieve, Director, Grieve Gillett + Dimitty Andersen Architects.

In the evening at the Hawke Building, Adelaide, the Governor, as patron, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering to open the formalities for the 2015 Australian Refugee Association Oration.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, the Governor and Mrs Le paid a visit to The Honourable Dr Basil Hetzel AC CBE, former Lieutenant-Governor of South Australia and Mrs Hetzel at their home in North Adelaide.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Later at Morphett Vale, the Governor addressed guests a monthly meeting of the Probus Club of Morphett Vale.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Friends of the South Australia Museum.

Afterwards the Governor received the Honourable Tom Koutsantonis MP, Treasurer.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, and as a guest of the Adelaide City Council, the Governor addressed the guests at the Lord Mayoral Civic Reception to celebrate Refugee Week and the City of Adelaide becoming a Refugee Welcome Zone.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

On Sunday afternoon, at Cowandilla, His Excellency the Governor, as guests of the Filipina Network of South Australia, addressed the gathering at the 2015 Philippine Fiesta.

In the evening at the Piano Bar, the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended the performance of Anne Wills in conversation with Peter Goers as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

On Saturday evening, at Felixstow, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri Sezione Di Adelaide, attended a Gala Dinner to celebrate the 201st Anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri Corps.

On Friday in the morning, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of SIDS and Kids South Australia and accompanied by Mrs Le, participated in the Red Nose Day Parade from Victoria Square to Elder Park, before  addressing the participants at Elder Park.

In the afternoon, at the University of Adelaide, the Governor launched the book Academic Mobility: International Perspectives on Higher Education Research by Dr Nina Maadad, and Professor Malcolm Tight.

In the evening at the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the official opening of the Treasure Ships: Art in the Age of Spices exhibition.

In the afternoon, students from Moana Primary School toured Government House.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor received the Honourable Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception in honour of the official birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for the mayors who have hosted them on extended Vice Regal regional visits.  Guests included Mr Bob Sloane, His Worship the Mayor of the Barossa Council, and Mrs Robyn Sloane; Mr Paul Thomas, His Worship the Mayor of the District Council of the Copper Coast, and Mrs Kathryn Thomas; Mr Peter Clements, His Worship the Mayor of the Kangaroo Island Council, and Mrs Betty Clements; and Mr David O’Loughlin, Immediate Past President, Local Government Association, and Mrs Alison O’Loughlin.

 

On Wednesday morning, at the Adelaide Arcade, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the Celebrations of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Australian Dance Theatre.

On Monday morning, as guest of the Honourable Zoe Bettison MP, Minister for Volunteers, His Excellency the Governor attended and presented three awards at the 2015 Volunteers Day Event at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Centre, attended the Adelaide Cabaret Festival performance of The Front at the Dunstan Playhouse.

On Sunday morning at the Christ Church North Adelaide, the Governor, and Mrs Le attended the Solemn Eucharist to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, at which the Governor read the Epistle.

On Saturday evening at the Adelaide Oval, His Excellency the Governor, as Patron of Power Community Ltd, tossed the coin for the 8th Aboriginal Power Cup Grand Final.
