On Friday at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Guide Dogs Association of South Australia and Northern Territory, received Mr Joe Thorp, Chairman, and Ms Kate Thiele, Chief Executive Officer.

In the evening at the Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia, the Governor, as patron of the Royal United Services Institute of South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed guests at the annual Dining-In Night.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia.  Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor received Professor Pal Ahluwalia, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research and Innovation, University of Portsmouth.
In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for Year 12 students representing their schools from across the state.

During the day, students from Immanuel Lutheran School, Gawler, toured Government House.

On Wednesday, exchange students from Treviso, Italy, studying at Loreto College, also toured Government House.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Russell Wortley MLC, President of the Legislative Council. Afterwards, the Governor received the Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the evening at the Adelaide Zoo, the Governor, as patron of the Defence Reserves Support Council - South Australia, addressed guests and presented the 2015 South Australia Employer Support Awards.

On Tuesday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, delivered a reading at the 35th South Australian Annual Prayer Breakfast, as guests of the Christian Business and Market Place Connections South Australia.

Afterwards at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed guests at the National Domestic and Aboriginal Family Violence Conference, as guests of the Kornar Winmil Yunti Aboriginal Corporation.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for Year 12 students representing their schools from across the state.

Later at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the South Australian Public Primary Schools Music Society, attended the 2015 Festival of Music Series Concert.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for South Australian students participating in the National Youth Science Forum.

In the afternoon the Governor, as Patron-in-Chief of the University of South Australia - The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, and Mrs Le hosted a luncheon for the 2015 Annual Hawke Lecture.  Guests included Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK AFC (Ret’d), The Honourable Sir Eric Neal AC CVO and Lady Neal AM, Professor Lowitja O'Donoghue AC CBE, Dr Ian Gould AM and Mrs Christina Gould, Professor David Lloyd, Mr Nigel Relph, Ms Jacinta Thompson, Ms Jill  Saunders and Ms Sandy Miller.

In the evening at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the 2015 Annual Hawke Lecture delivered by Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK AFC (Ret’d).

On Sunday at St John’s Anglican Church, Adelaide, the Governor, as patron, attended the Eisteddfod Society Adelaide 60th Anniversary Concert.

On Saturday afternoon at Victoria Square, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering at the official launch ceremony of the Unmasked African Festival 2015, as guests of the African Communities Council of South Australia.

On Friday at Wayville, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, attended the 2015 Royal Adelaide Show Official Luncheon.

In the evening at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed guests and presented the Apprentice of the Year Award at the 2015 South Australian Training Awards Gala Dinner, as guests of the Training and Skills Commission.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted an afternoon tea to mark the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history.

On Wednesday morning, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Save the Children – South Australia, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed guests at a morning tea at Mount Lofty House.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for His Excellency Mr John Berry, Ambassador of the United States of America, and Ms Frankie Reed, Consul-General of the United States of America.

On Tuesday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr Jiang Yikang, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, for a courtesy call, which was joined by The Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia.

Also in the afternoon, Mrs Le, as patron, received Mr Gavin Woods, President, and committee members of the Rose Society of South Australia.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor, as a guest of the Premier, witnessed the signing of the Friendly Cooperation Action Plan (2015-2018) between the Shandong Provincial Government and the South Australian Government, which was followed by a welcome dinner.

On Monday evening at Adelaide Oval, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the South Australian National Football League, and Mrs Le attended the 2015 South Australian Football National Football League Hall of Fame Induction and Magarey Medal Presentation.

On Sunday morning at Lundie Gardens, South Terrace, Adelaide, the Governor, as patron of the Returned and Services League of Australia (South Australian Branch), accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering at the centenary service of the Australasian Dardanelles Cenotaph in Adelaide. During the service, the Governor and Mrs Le placed a wreath and a tribute. Mrs Le also planted a wattle tree at the site, in parallel to the planting of a number of wattle trees by Lady Munro-Ferguson at the then-site of the Cenotaph in 1915.

On Saturday evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended A Night for Zahra, the official launch for the Zahra Foundation Australia, as guests of the Central Domestic Violence Service.

On Friday at Wayville, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, and Mrs Le toured the Royal Adelaide Show, as guests of Mr Richard Fewster, President. In the morning, the Governor judged the Men’s Chocolate Cake competition, while Mrs Le attended a morning tea with members of the Country Women’s Association. Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Le met with exhibitors and viewed displays, and later attended the President’s Luncheon. In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs Le toured the cattle and sheep pavilions before touring the displays within the Taste SA pavilion.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le received His Excellency Mr Navdeep Suri, High Commissioner of India, and Captain Chetan Chandegave, Defence Advisor, who later joined the Governor and Mrs Le for a luncheon along with Mr Adi Reddy Yarra, President, Indian Australian Association of South Australia; Mr Andrew Downs, Founder and Managing Director, SAGE Automation; Mr Jason May, Chief Executive Officer, Heliostat South Australia; Mr Robin Murt, Chief Executive, TAFE SA; and Mr Brian Smedley, Chief Executive, South Australian Wine Industry Association.

In the evening at the Arts Theatre, the Governor, as patron of the Adelaide Repertory Theatre, attended a performance of The Cripple of Inishmaan

On Wednesday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authorities Council, opened the Bushfire and Natural Hazards Cooperative Research Centre Annual Conference.

Afterwards at Government House, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove called on the Governor and Mrs Le.

In the afternoon at the Adelaide Pavilion, the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Le attended a luncheon for the Commonwealth Club of Adelaide.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the launch of the Adelaide University Research Unit on Military Law and Ethics.

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le received Professor Brenda Wilson, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia and Dr Kym Bannister for a morning tea together with staff of Government House to mark the first anniversary of His Excellency’s swearing-in as the 35th Governor of South Australia.

 Afterwards the Governor met with Professor Wilson.

On Monday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Le hosted a reception to acknowledge volunteers and supporters of the Asthma Foundation of South Australia.

During the day, students from St John’s Lutheran School toured Government House.

On Saturday evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Australia Malaysia Business Council South Australia, attended the 2015 Merdeka Gala Dinner and Awards.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of the Augusta Zadow Scholarships.

In the afternoon at the Glenelg Golf Club, the Governor, as patron of the Legacy Club of Adelaide, attended a luncheon and presented the Cup and other trophies to winners at the 67th Annual Legacy Governor’s Cup.

On Friday afternoon at Government House, Mrs Le, as patron, received Mrs Anne Byrne, President, Travellers’ Aid Society in South Australia.

In the evening at North Adelaide, the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Adelaide Festival of Arts, attended the official launch of the Chairman’s Circle.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Le hosted an Investiture ceremony and reception for recipients of Australian Honours and Australian Bravery Decorations.

In the evening at the University of Adelaide, His Excellency, as patron of the Abraham Institute, attended a Peace Building Colloquium: Can Enemies Become Friends? From Conflict to Peace Building, hosted by the Abraham Institute, in conjunction with the University of Adelaide and the Australian Institute of International Affairs, South Australian Branch.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted an investiture ceremony and reception for recipients of Australian Honours.  After the ceremony the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a luncheon.  Guests included Mr Chris Beattie, Chief Officer, State Emergency Service South Australia; Mrs Erma Ranieri, Commissioner for Public Employment; and Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Governor who assisted at the ceremony.

 

On Tuesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted an investiture ceremony and reception for recipients of Australian Honours.  After the ceremony the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a luncheon.  Guests included Professor Brenda Wilson, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia; Air Commodore Stephen Meredith, Senior Defence Force Representative – South Australia, and Mrs Sue Meredith; Commander Patrick O’Brien ADC RAN, Commanding Officer Navy Headquarters – South Australia; Lieutenant Colonel David Lipschitz, Representing Army Area Representative - South Australia, and Mrs Alissa Lipschitz; Mr Grant Stevens APM, Commissioner of South Australia Police, and Mrs Emma Stevens, and Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Governor who assisted at the ceremony.

In the evening, as a guest of the Campbelltown City Council, the Governor addressed guests at the Annual Service Clubs Dinner at the Campbelltown Function Centre.

 

On Monday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

On Sunday morning at the Genesha Temple, Oaklands Park, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed guests at the 30th Anniversary celebration luncheon for the Hindu Society of South Australia.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le received Mrs Marika Escott, President, Russian Community Centre Incorporated; and Mr Walter Lebedew OAM, President, Russian Ethnic Representative Council of South Australia, and Ms Marina Elbert.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of the 2015 Churchill Fellowship Awards.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Premier’s Games Appeal Dinner, as guests of the South Australian Olympic Council.

During the day students from Seaton High School toured Government House.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

 Afterwards at Government House, the Governor, as patron, received Air Vice-Marshal Brent Espeland AM (Retd), President, Royal United Services Institute of South Australia.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of awards for the SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival.

On Wednesday evening at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of awards to the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Awards Scholars.

Later the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a dinner for Mr HL Kam, Group Managing Director, Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings. Other guests included the Honourable Jack Snelling MP, Minister for Health; the Honourable Stephen Wade MLC, Shadow Minister for Health; Mr Rob Stobbe, Chief Executive Office, SA Power Networks; and Ms Wendy Tong Barnes, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings.

 On Tuesday morning at the Repatriation General Hospital Chapel, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, placed a wreath during a Vietnam Veterans Day Commemorative Service.

In the evening at the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club, the Governor, as patron of Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children, and Mrs Le met with ROMAC volunteers and presented certificates of appreciation.

 During the day, students from Loreto College toured Government House.
