On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, who is President of the Australian Red Cross - South Australia Division, officially opened the organisation’s new premises in Pirie Street, Adelaide.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner.  Guests included Mr Bill Muirhead AM, Agent General for South Australia in the United Kingdom and Mrs Jeanne Muirhead, and Dr Jeffrey Bleich, former Ambassador of the United States of America in Australia.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Ms Kay Mousley, Electoral Commissioner of South Australia.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Martin Hinton QC, Solicitor-General of South Australia.

Also in the morning at St Peter's Cathedral, Mrs Scarce, as patron of The Mothers' Union in the Diocese of Adelaide, presented awards to long-standing members at the Lady Day Service, followed by a luncheon.

In the afternoon Mr Jeffrey Bleich, United States Ambassador (ret.), arrived to stay at Government House.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner.  Guests included Mr Robert Gerard AO, Executive Chairman, Gerard Corporation Pty Ltd and Mrs Fay Gerard OAM, and Mr Hugh MacLachlan, Director, Jumbuck Pastoral and Mrs Fiona MacLachlan OAM.

On Sunday His Excellency the Governor greeted members of the public attending the Government House Open Day.

The Governor has appointed the Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le AO, to be Governor’s Deputy from early on Friday 21st March 2014 until late on Saturday 22nd March 2014.

The Governor and Mrs Liz Scarce invite the public to visit and explore Government House and its grounds on Sunday 23rd March 2014 between 10am and 4pm.

On Thursday morning His Excellency the Governor chaired the Carnegie Mellon University Joint Advisory Board meeting in the Torrens Building.

In the afternoon at Lonsdale, the Governor, as patron, addressed the guests at the Defence Reserves Support Council of South Australia Luncheon.

Later at the Hilton Adelaide Hotel, the Governor, as a guest of the Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College Australia, welcomed guests at the public lecture by Dr Mark Kamlet.

Afterwards at Government House, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening the Governor, as patron, hosted a reception to thank volunteers and supporters of The Repat Foundation.

Later at the Palace Nova Eastend Cinemas in Adelaide, the Governor, as a guest of Alliance Française d'Adelaide, officially opened the 2014 Alliance Française French Film Festival, before attending by a screening of 'De toutes nos forces'.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Dr Jane Lomax-Smith AM and The Honourable Diana Laidlaw AM, Co-Chairs of the South Australian Museum Foundation.

In the afternoon the Governor received Brigadier Peter Connor AM, newly appointed Army Area Representative of the Australian Army - HQ 9th Brigade.

Later the Governor received Mr Steve Barnes RANR and Mrs Jill Barnes.

In the evening the Governor hosted a reception to thank supporters of the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor attended a Graduation Ceremony for the University of South Australia at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor hosted a dinner for retiring Members of Parliament and the Legislative Council.  Guests included The Honourable Lyn Breuer MP, Member for Giles; The Honourable Carmel Zollo MLC, Member of the Legislative Council and Mr Lou Zollo; The Honourable Michael Wright MP, Member for Lee and Mrs Meredith Wright; Mr Ivan Venning MP, Member for Schubert and Mrs Kay Venning; Mrs Robyn Geraghty MP, Member for Torrens; and Ms Gay Thompson MP, Member for Reynell and Mr John Kingsmill.

On Monday evening at Pulteney Grammar School, His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of The Joint Commonwealth Societies Council in South Australia, attended a reception in celebration of Commonwealth Day.

On Sunday afternoon the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended a performance of Green Porno at Her Majesty's Theatre, and in the evening attended a performance of Dirtsong at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of Rowing South Australia, and Mrs Scarce attended the 2014 Schools Head of the River Regatta Luncheon at West Lakes Shore.

In the evening, as guests of the Indian Australian Association of South Australia, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, addressed the gathering at the 2014 Indian MELA at Elder Park.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive of Defence SA, to discuss the South Australian defence industry.

In the evening at Her Majesty's Theatre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended a performance of Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

During the day, students from Bellevue Heights Primary School toured Government House.

On Thursday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for artists and sponsors associated with the 2014 Adelaide Festival.

In the evening, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended a pre-performance function at Lola's Pergola on the Torrens Riverbank, before a performance of Needles and Opium at the Dunstan Playhouse, Adelaide Festival Centre.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr Michael Luchich, Member, Carnegie Mellon University Australia Joint Advisory Board.

Later the Governor received Mr Brian Oldman, Director, South Australian Museum.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron of the United Nations Association of Australia - South Australia Division, received Ms Lidia Moretti, National Vice President.

In the evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended a performance of School Dance by Windmill Theatre.

On Tuesday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as chief patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception to thank supporters of scosa.

In the evening at the Garden of Unearthly Delights, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a performance of Katie Noonan & Circa’s Love-Song-Circus, as part of the Adelaide Fringe.

On Monday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the South Australian Jockey Club, accompanied by Mrs Scarce, attended the running of the TattsBet Adelaide Cup at Morphettville Racecourse, and presented the Adelaide Cup to the winning connections.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide UN WOMEN Australia Breakfast Committee, attended the 2014 International Women’s Day Breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Later at Government House the Governor received Miss Trish Rankine and Ms Maxine Goulding.

In the afternoon Mrs Scarce attended the 2014 World Day of Prayer Service at the Pilgrim Uniting Church.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, attended the Port Adelaide Football Club 2014 season launch at Adelaide Oval.

On Thursday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a luncheon for artists and sponsors associated with the 2014 Adelaide Festival.

Later the Governor received Ms Heather Kirkpatrick, Filmmaker of Mary Meets Mohammad.

Afterwards the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive of Defence SA, to discuss the South Australian defence industry.

In the evening at the Pioneer Women's Memorial Garden, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended the Adelaide Writers’ Week program session of The Great War with author Paul Ham.

In the evening at the Space Theatre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended a performance of Girl Asleep by Windmill Theatre.

On Monday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron, and Mrs Scarce hosted a reception for the Sir Charles Bright Scholarship Trust.

Afterwards at Elder Hall, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the session ‘What a Wonderful World’ by Mr Marcus Chown, as part of Adelaide Writers’ Week.

In the afternoon at the Hilton Hotel, Mrs Scarce, as patron, attended a luncheon in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the formation of The Naval Association of Australia, South Australian Section, WRANS Sub Section.

In the evening at the Queen’s Theatre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended a performance of Big Mouth.

On Saturday afternoon His Excellency the Governor attended the Clipsal 500 Adelaide V8 Supercar Race, as a guest of The Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia, at the South Australia Suite, Victoria Park Race Circuit.

In the evening at the Nexus Theatre, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a performance of Flamenqueando, as part of the Adelaide Fringe.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor met with Mr Andrew Fletcher, Chief Executive of Defence SA, to discuss the South Australian defence industry.

Later the Governor received Mr Tony Syrianos, Director of Leasecorp Management Pty Ltd.

In the afternoon the Governor received Mr Mark Butcher, Chair; and Ms Julia Beardsley, Associate Director of Health Industry SA.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, attended the opening cocktail reception of the 2014 Adelaide Festival at the Adelaide Festival Centre, followed by the Kid Creole and the Coconuts performance at Elder Park.

In the afternoon, Year 11 German exchange student from Concordia College toured Government House.

On Thursday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor was joined for luncheon by Mr Theo Maras, Chairman, Maras Group.

Later the Governor received Mr Hieu Van Le AO, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia.

In the evening in the River Torrens precinct, the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the Premier's Adelaide Reception in celebration of events in and around March, hosted by The Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia.

On Wednesday morning at the University of Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor welcomed delegates to the Aurora Symposium held in celebration of the centenary of the Australian Antarctic Expedition’s landing at Semaphore.

In the afternoon at Bowden, the Governor, addressed the guests and cut the ribbon at the opening launch of the UnitingCare Wesley Bowden 'Lounge on Gibson'.

Later at Government House, the Governor, as patron of Time for Kids, and Mrs Scarce received Miss Sophie Clelland and Ms Rachel Organ.

On Tuesday afternoon His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Legacy Club of Adelaide, attended the Legacy Defence Chiefs’ Lunch at Legacy House.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Scarce hosted a dinner.  Guests included His Worship the Mayor of the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council, Mr Allan Aughey and Mrs Lyn Aughey, and Mr Graham Cornes OAM and Mrs Nicole Cornes.

On Monday evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended the OzAsia Festival Fund Launch.

Afterwards at Ayers House, the Governor attended the Defence SA Advisory Board farewell dinner for General Peter Cosgrove AC MC, Governor-General designate of Australia.

On Sunday evening at Victoria Square, Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Scarce attended a performance of A Simple Space, as part of the Adelaide Fringe.

On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Operation Flinders Foundation, received Mr Mike Terlet AO, Chairman and Mr John Shepherd AM, Executive Director.

In the afternoon Mrs Scarce, as patron of The Embroiderers' Guild of South Australia, officially opened the biennial members’ exhibition “A Touch of Venice” at Mile End.

In the evening the Governor and Mrs Scarce observed the Australian Air League’s International Space Station Link Up at the South Australia Aviation Museum, Port Adelaide.
