On Friday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received Mr David Sefton, Artistic Director, and Ms Karen Bryant, Chief Executive, of the Adelaide Festival.

In the afternoon the Governor received Reverend Paul Harrington, Rector, and Mr Ian Bartlett, Mr Phil Crawley and Mr Brett Cowell, Trustees, of Holy Trinity Adelaide.

In the evening as guests of Food South Australia, the Governor and Mrs Le attended the 2014 South Australia Food Industry Awards Gala Dinner, at Adelaide Oval.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon as a guest of the Beit Shalom Synagogue, the Governor officially opened the Biennial Conference of the Union for Progressive Judaism for Australia, New Zealand and Asia at the Hawke Building, University of South Australia.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Afterwards the Governor and Mrs Le visited Victor Harbor R-7 School, to meet with students and teachers following the recent fire at the school.

In the afternoon the Governor received The Honourable Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Mr Robert Manton, Director, Veterans SA, and Ms Julie Barbaro, Ministerial Adviser.

In the evening at the State Library of South Australia and as guests of Flinders University of South Australia, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a farewell dinner marking the retirement of Professor Michael Barber.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor returned to Adelaide from Sydney.

Later at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception for the presentation of the Bi-annual President's Awards for The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of South Australia (PARAQUAD SA).

In the afternoon the Governor received the Honourable Justice Sulan, Chairman, and Ms Katherine Goode, Director, of the Abraham Institute.

On Monday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Tung Ngo MLC.

In the afternoon, the Governor departed Adelaide for Sydney.

In the evening at Sheraton on the Park, Sydney, the Governor, as a guest of Ernst & Young, addressed the guests at a dinner as part of the APAC Business Development Certification program for senior Ernst & Young staff from across Asia, New Zealand and Australia.

The Governor has appointed the Lieutenant Governor of South Australia, Professor Brenda Wilson, as Governor’s Deputy from 1:00 pm on Monday 17th November 2014 until 10:00 am on Tuesday 18th November 2014 during his absence from the State.

On Sunday morning the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering and launched the Ian Wilson Memorial Fellowship at a brunch celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust at Carrick Hill.

On Saturday evening at the Sicilia Social Club in Klemzig, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering at the Annual Feast Ball, as guests of the Saint Catherine Society of South Australia.

On Friday afternoon at the Grand Ballroom, Fulham Gardens, His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, was guest of honour at the 2014 Annual Awardee Meals on Wheels Lunch, and presented the 40 year awards as patron of Meals on Wheels South Australia.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards the Governor received Mr Mark Thomson, Principal and Mr Brad Gay, Senior Manager, of PWC, together with Ms Christine Bierbaum, Executive Director and Ms Goska Serafin, Manager, of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.

In the afternoon, the Governor received Dr Tim Soutphommasane, Race Discrimination Commissioner, Australian Human Rights Commission. 

Also in the afternoon, Mrs Le visited the premises of Cancer Council South Australia, followed by afternoon tea with volunteers and guests.

In the evening as guests of EY, the Governor and Mrs Le attended a viewing of and cocktail reception for the Fashion Icons exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Later at Parliament House, the Governor attended a President’s Dinner hosted by the Honourable Russell Wortley MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

On Wednesday morning at the Adelaide Studios, His Excellency the Governor opened the 2014 Adelaide Kids Film Festival.

Later at Government House, the Governor received Her Excellency Mrs Annemieke Ruigrok, Ambassador of the Netherlands, accompanied by Mr Willem Ouwens, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands.

In the evening the Governor, as a guest of the Australia Day Council of South Australia, and accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering and presented awards to the South Australian finalists at the Australian of the Year Awards ceremony at Adelaide Oval.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le planted a cross in Memory of the Fallen and then attended a Service of Remembrance at the South Australian National War Memorial.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at a Welcome Dinner held in their honour at The Adelaide Club.

On Monday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor officially opened the 2014 Scientific Conference of the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and Other Drugs.

Later at Government House the Governor received Mr Christopher Woodthorpe, Director, United Nations Information Centre in Canberra, and Ms Lidia Moretti, Vice-President, United Nations Association of Australia – South Australia Division.

On Sunday evening, as guests of The Returned and Services League of Australia (SA Branch), the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, delivered a reading at the Remembrance Sunday service at St Peter’s Cathedral.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le viewed the 2014 Credit Union Christmas Pageant.

On Friday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The Repat Foundation, and Mrs Le attended the 2014 Remembrance Business Breakfast.

In the evening the Governor hosted a reception for Mr Barry O'Leary, former Chief Executive Officer of IDA Ireland, and members of the South Australian Economic Board.

On Thursday morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later the Governor received the Honourable Zoe Bettison MP, Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Mr Paul Tsoundarou, Chief of Staff.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a luncheon for His Excellency Mr Chris Seed, High Commissioner for New Zealand.  Other guests included Mr Stephen Blair, Consul-General and Trade Commissioner for New Zealand; Mr Ryan Waples of Barossa Valley Estates; Mr Richard Turner of Zen Energy, and Mr Justin Kahl of SAGE Automation.

In the evening the Governor, as Chief Scout, and Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank supporters and volunteers of Scouts Australia - South Australian Branch.

Afterwards in Bonython Hall, North Terrace, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the gala dinner held in celebration of the 140th anniversary of the founding of the University of Adelaide.

On Wednesday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Michael Atkinson MP, Speaker of the House of Assembly.

In the afternoon the Governor received a visiting delegation from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Later the Governor received The Honourable Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs; Mr Robert Manton, Director, Veterans SA, and Ms Julie Barbaro, Ministerial Adviser.

In the evening at the Playford Civic Centre, Elizabeth, the Governor, as a guest of the Service to Youth Council, addressed the gathering and presented certificates at the Training Prospects Graduation Ceremony.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the Northern Advanced Manufacturing Industry Group, viewed exhibits and met with students at the Concept2Creation Expo at the Golden Grove Arts and Recreation Centre.

In the afternoon at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, the Governor addressed the gathering at the Adelaide Festival Centre's quarterly meeting.

In the evening at the Thebarton Community Centre, the Governor addressed the gathering at the Annual General Meeting of the Multicultural Communities Council of SA.

On Monday evening at Government House, His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception to thank supporters of the Conservation Council SA.

On Sunday morning, as a guest of the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia, the Governor placed a wreath at the Greek National Day Commemoration Service, at the Cathedral of Archangels Michael and Gabriel.

On Saturday afternoon at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as Deputy Prior, and Mrs Le hosted an Investiture Ceremony for The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John in Jerusalem in South Australia.

In the evening the Governor, accompanied Mrs Le, as guests of honour, addressed the guests at the Australian Chinese Medical Association South Australia Charity Dinner at Citi Zen Restaurant.

On Friday morning His Excellency the Governor placed a wreath at the War Horse Memorial in the East Parklands in remembrance of the role of horses in war.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Governor, as Deputy Prior, was invested as a Knight of Grace of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem.  The Investiture Ceremony was officiated by Professor Mark Compton AM, St John Prior and Chancellor and Mr Peter LeCornu, Chief Executive Officer of St John Ambulance National and Prior Secretary.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs Le hosted a reception in the grounds to farewell international students on behalf of Education Adelaide.

In the evening, at Old Parliament House, the Governor launched the South Australian Chapter of the Hellenic Lawyers Association.

On Thursday morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later in the morning, Mrs Le attended a morning tea at the Queen Adelaide Club, hosted by the President, Mrs Meredith Sarah AM.

In the afternoon the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the guests at the SA Water Values Week Award Ceremony, held at SA Water House.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor, as Patron, and Mrs Le hosted a reception and award ceremony for Debating SA.

On Wednesday evening His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Le attended the Santos 60th Anniversary Dinner, at Adelaide Oval, where the Governor presented Santos with a Heritage Icon Award on behalf of the National Trust of South Australia, in his capacity as Patron-in-Chief.

On Tuesday morning His Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Royal Zoological Society of SA, and Mrs Le visited Adelaide Monarto Zoo, where they were escorted on a driving tour of the site and its exhibits, followed by a luncheon at the Waterhole Function Centre.

On Monday evening at the InterContinental Adelaide, His Excellency the Governor, as guest of honour, addressed the gathering at the Consular Corps of South Australia end of year celebratory reception.

On Sunday morning at the Adelaide Arena, the Governor, as Chief Scout, accompanied by Mrs Le, presented the Queen’s Scout, the Baden-Powell and the Adult Good Service Awards for Scouts Australia – SA Branch.

In the afternoon at the Polonia Croydon Kings Sports Ground, the Governor and Mrs Le met with volunteers, organisers and performers at the Polish Dozynki Festival.

Later the Governor and Mrs Le, as guests of the Archbishop of Adelaide, attended an afternoon tea in celebration of 100 years of the Catholic Women's League in South Australia.

On Saturday morning His Excellency the Governor, as a guest of the Royal Australian Navy, attended the Navy Week Church Service at Christ Church North Adelaide.

Also in the morning, Mrs Le, as a guest of the Art Gallery of South Australia, attended a morning tea in honour of the Fashion Icons:  Masterpieces from the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris exhibition.

In the afternoon in the Barossa Valley, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering at the Royal Association of Justices of SA’s Annual General Meeting.

In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, addressed the gathering at the Diwali Festival, as guests of the Indian Australian Association of SA.

On Friday morning at Daw Park, His Excellency the Governor, as patron of The Repat Foundation, attended a briefing followed by a tour of The Repatriation General Hospital.

Later at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Le received His Excellency Paul Madden CMG, British High Commissioner and Mrs Sarah Madden.

In the afternoon the Governor received Commander Dominic MacNamara RAN, Commanding Officer of HMAS Newcastle, Royal Australian Navy.

In the evening at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, the Governor, as a guest of the Hong Kong Australia Business Association - SA Chapter, addressed the guests at the 13th Annual HKABA Business Awards and Gala Dinner.

On Thursday morning at Government House, His Excellency the Governor received the Honourable Jay Weatherill MP, Premier of South Australia.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later in the morning the Governor and Mrs Le visited the Regency Campus of TAFE SA, where they toured the Regency International Centre before joining students for morning tea.

In the afternoon at a ceremony at Government House, the Governor, accompanied by Mrs Le, was invested by Mr Chris Bates, Chief Commissioner, Scouts Australia - SA Branch, as the Chief Scout of South Australia.
